He attended San Jose State University before going on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California dental school, where he served as a member of the dental school faculty for two years after graduation.

Dr. Block has a phenomenal wife and four great kids. When he isnt busy taking care of smiles, he enjoys trail running, hiking, rock climbing in Yosemite and all over the Southwestern states, reading, and watching movies.

Karin is from Alameda, California, where she attended James Logan High School and then went on to the Santa Barbara Business College. She and Dr. Block have two sons and two daughters. Together they enjoy hiking, rock climbing, trail running, going to the movies and traveling.

Aileen is a registered dental hygienist who has been working in dentistry for 36 years, 26 of them with Dr. Block. She is licensed in expanded functions, which include administration of local anesthetic curettage and digital radiography. Aileen received her Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene at Idaho State University. Aileen and her husband have six children. She enjoys movies and gardening and is grandmother and a certified Pilates instructor!

Carlene is a registered dental hygienist. She studied at Chabot College. Her philosophy is that a hygienist is not only a person who can do the physical work as a hygienist, but also a person who can spread awareness about nutrition counseling, oral cancer screening and proper oral hygiene education. Carlene enjoys fitness and listening to live music.

Rebecca is a registered dental assistant who enjoys making patients feel better and look better. She is certified in CPR and licensed to assist in general dentistry, orthodontics and endodontics. Originally from Princeton, Texas, Rebecca attended Chabot in Hayward, California, and Western Career College. Rebecca is married and has two daughters. When she is not at work, she enjoys attending her daughters' softball games, watching old history movies and sharing a meal with her family.

Yolanda has been working as a dental assistant for over 25 years. She attended Foothill College and received her degree from Clayton Career College. She is a registered dental assistant with licensing in X-rays, coronal polish and CPR. She enjoys working with patients as well as making them feel comfortable and relaxed. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, making quilts and embroidery.

Heather has been working in our front office since 2005. She is a Fremont native who attended Crossroads High School and Western Career College. She is a registered dental assistant with licensing in X-ray and coronal polish. Heather and her husband have one daughter, whom they enjoy taking to Lake Elizabeth after work to play. She loves to travel and visit Disneyland. As a Jehovah's Witness, she spends her free time teaching the Bible.
