Dr. Gray considers it a great privilege to have treated thousands of local residents and is particularly proud to have provided treatment for the families of over 30 local dentists. Following a major in biology, a minor in chemistry, Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, and his two-year residency in orthodontics, Dr. Gray began his exclusive practice in 1981. He established his practice in Roswell in 1983.
Dr. Gray has pioneered the use of mini-implants in orthodontics and has added to the orthodontic literature with articles published in the Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics. He has served as a consultant to the editors of both of these journals in the area of implants for orthodontic purposes. He has current lectures on implant uses in orthodontics, functional occlusion and periodontally accelerated osteogenic orthodontics.
Dr. Gray is committed to the community, so you may very well see Dr. Gray and his family about town, helping with local activities. Dr. Gray is proud of his long-time association with the Roswell Rotary Club and the good deeds provided by this community service organization. He and his children, Blane and Victoria, and wife, Angela, have been involved in the local schools and culture. They are members of Roswell United Methodist Church and they, of course, reside in Roswell.
Dr. Gray has a passion for bareboat sailing and has sailed in areas of Florida, the Caribbean, Chesapeake Bay, and the Pacific Northwest. In his younger, more nimble days, tennis was a favorite recreation that led to six visits to ALTA City Finals. Snow skiing is also one of his favorite activities and Steamboat Springs and Vail are two of his favorite locations. A good golf game still eludes him, though he can occasionally be seen hacking up the local courses. Braves baseball and Florida football are always a good topic of conversation with Dr. Gray, as is sport shooting. His unfulfilled side wishes he could play a musical instrument, sculpt, and be fluent in a foreign language.
We are very excited to have Dr. John Iaculli join James B. Gray, DMD, PC. Dr. Iaculli graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in chemical engineering. For several years he worked for General Motors developing hydrogen fuel cells. Realizing that he wanted more personal gratification in his professional life, he turned to dentistry. Upon graduating from the University of Buffalo School of Dentistry, Dr. Iaculli further defined his professional goals by attending the exceptional orthodontic program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Although originally from upstate New York, Dr. Iaculli has been practicing orthodontics in the Atlanta area for the past eleven years.

Tevi joined our team in 2016. She has over 25years of medical experience, which gives her awealth of knowledge including practice management. She manages all of our financial issues. Because of her experience, she is able to assistDr. Gray in the day to day issues allowing Dr. Gray to focuson perfecting that smile.
I am originally from Florida and my career in the dental field began in 1991. I've been working with Dr. Gray since 200. I love helping people achieve a beautiful and healthy smile, as well as getting to know our patients and families.
Irina is a Certified Orthodontic Assistant who has worked for Dr. Gray for 17years. Among her many talents, she is highly trained in our SureSmile technology and prepares diagnostic information specific to each patient for Dr. Gray to use to study each patient individually.
Diana loves being an orthodontic assistant. She has been an assistant for 20+ years. Its incredible to witness the transformation as well as watch a patients self esteem increase because of their smile. Knowing she has played an integral part in creating a beautiful smile for our amazing patients brings her joy. She feels blessed to be a part of Dr. Grays amazing team. When she heads home after a full day of patients, she finds herself smiling on the car ride. She is happy to know that her work helped to make someones life a litter happier.
Linda is the bright and cheery face you meet on your initial exam. She is patient, kind, loving and pays special attention to our younger clientele. She has the gift of making the patient feel at ease as she performs her magic. She is detailed oriented to make sure Dr. Gray has best photos possible to determine the correct care. She is a registered dental/ orthodontic assistant with expanded duties and x-ray certified. Linda is also an expert in the use of our 3 Shape Trios Scanner.

I cannot say enough good things about this place and the staff. My retainer had broken off a bit and I was desperate. From the moment I called and Beverly answered I knew they were pretty awesome. Beverly was amazing and when I stepped into the office the next day, she knew who I was and greeted me. Also Adrina, Dr. Gray's assistant was amazing, very very nice. Dr. Gray was incredible. Made me feel at ease and continuously told me they were going to help me with my retainer. This whole staff felt like family. Im so happy I came here!!! THANK YOU ALL!! Lori

I cannot recommend Dr. Gray's office highly enough. The quality of care that all four of my children received was excellent. The office staff is so friendly and welcoming. All of my questions and concerns were addressed immediately, and my kids' teeth look amazing!

Dr. Gray and his staff are the best. He provides HONEST assistance, even if it results in you not receiving service from him. It is very hard to find this kind of advice, support and honesty. I recently began the process of finding an orthodontist practice for my daughter. I never had braces and she's an only child so we're completely new to the industry. Braces are a big commitment. It's important that we make the best choice for our family and as such, I'm shopping around, interviewing and learning as much as I can.... We recently went for a free consultation at Dr Gray's office. First, the office manager was beyond delightful. She was genuine, friendly and detail oriented. The schedule was a bit full though, so be prepared for that. Upon arrival for our appointment we were greeted by an intake coordinator and walked through the most thorough and humane Covid 19 Precautionary measures I've ever experienced. The set up was such that we were not within 6 feet of ANYONE besides the persons we were immediately receiving service with. Everyone was masked. Our intake coordinator even taught my daughter a cool tying trick to help the adult size mask she was wearing fit her child sized face properly. Priceless..... Dr Gray's meeting was informative and well paced. He's a nice guy with a fatherly feel about him that put my nervous 9 year old at ease. I left with the feeling that our best all around care would be received here with Dr Gray and his wonderful support staff. We will definitely return and I highly recommend.

Well this is a review I've been needing to post, for many, many years. I have known (and been treated by) Dr Gray and his staff for about 15 years now. Unfortunately, yes, that means I've had a complicated journey of 15 years of orthodontic work, but it also means that I've been fortunate in the sense that at around 7 years old, I walked into the arms of this phenomenal group of people and they've been with me ever since. It's a group who has seen me on Fridays (a non-patient day) when I lived out of state during college and who has sent flowers following every maxillofacial surgery I've had. (Dr Gray once even drove 2+ hours to the hospital following one surgery to check and see how I was doing.) It's a group whose hygienists' phone numbers I have on hand "in case I need anything" or "have any questions" and each of them keeps up with all the personal details of my life between months of visiting. It's a group who has mailed me orthodontic wax to college and fixed my retainer on a Sunday when my dog discovered it and I had to fly back to college the following day. Recently, Dr Gray also told me he had showed up to a dinner with my maxillofacial surgeons with teeth models in hand-- making sure everyone was adequately prepared for my (hopefully final) surgery I just completed. Now, some of these accounts just come from knowing a group of people for 15 years, but they also speak generally to the trusting, supportive, accommodating care Dr Gray and his team offer, which somehow extends beyond their exceptional level of expertise and skill. I've always felt incredibly informed about my care, the choices I was offered, and had great confidence that Dr Gray and his team were applying their best techniques and technologies to my treatment plan. I truly could not have asked for a better team on this journey, and there simply is not enough adequate praise for every single one of them. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for me and for all the other patients who walk through your door-- who one day leave with a radiating smile, healthier bite, and a second family. I can not recommend them enough!

Chesapeake dental Specialist was recommended to me by another Dentist office and I can truly say I really appreciate the recommendation. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I got my wisdom tooth pulled, Kia and Dr. Gray was nice and made me feel really comfortable. I will definitely recommend them. The whole team was professional and polite.
