Dr. Jim Herrington grew up in Palestine, Texas, and graduated from Palestine High School in 1979. From there he went on to College Station and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree inZoology from Texas A&M University. In 1986, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgerydegree from Baylor College of Dentistry inDallas, Texas.
Dr. Herrington is passionate about staying up to date on the latest research and cutting edge technology in dentistry in order to provide the best quality of care available. While attending dental school, he was honored to be chosen to participate in a preceptorship in cosmetic dentistry. Through this advanced training, he has developed a keen eye for aesthetics and smile design. Without a doubt, he will tell you that his favorite part of dentistry is forming lasting relationships with his patients.
Dr. Herrington has a long history of being involved in organized Dentistry. He is an active member of Baylor College of Dentistry Alumni, the American Dental Association, the East Texas Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association.
Dr. Carol Herrington grew up in Roswell, New Mexico. She attendedTexas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas,andgraduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1988, Dr.Herrington received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry inDallas, Texas.
She started her general dentalpractice in Palestine with her husband Dr. Jim, who was her dentist in dental school. Dr. Carol loves making sure each patient has a positive experience, feels fully informed, and receives the best care available.

I've been going here since I was a kid. Everyone is nice and helpful. It usually takes an hour to get your teeth cleaned.I would definitely recommend for anyone going to the dentist.

Never a long wait. Dr Herrington is a very good Dentist also very gentle.. I never even felt the shots and I received about 6.

Dr.'s Jim and Carol Herrington along with the entire staff truly care for their patients. I have been using them for 20 years and I always know that I will receive the absolute best care at each visit. They always take their time to explain everything and answer any questions. Horrible experience wasted a lot of money with this dentist. Went in March for tooth pain October still in pain, I should have went to another dentist well before now. The temp crown he put in did not seal in the back causing my gums to become infected. I had to live with that for over a week until the perm crown arrived, he did not offer to fix his mistake so I wouldn't have to be in pain until it arrived. The perm crown he put on is loose and not sealed properly, causing me pain. I am not going back to him to waste any more of my money. I am not sure if he is inept or trying to get as much cash out of me as possible.

Been my Dentist for thirty years and has always been thorough, thoughtful and professional. Staff is courteous and caring in every situation and the hygienists do an excellent job of cleaning!

I'm glad I took Dr. Jim's advice on getting a front tooth crowned. I had really dreaded getting it done. I've been a patient at this dental practice for years. Dr. Jim always gives the best advise and dental care. Great office staff too.
