Dr. Bussacompleted his undergraduate education at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN where he graduated with honors in Neuroscience. He attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry to complete his dental education and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Following dental school, he completed a one year residency at the University of Minnesota where he gained invaluable experience in advanced general dentistry.
In addition to his education, Dr. Bussa stays up-to-date on the latest in the dental industry through his continuing education including a Postgraduate Program in Esthetic Dentistry and his professional memberships with the American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, and the Minnesota Dental Association.
Dr. Bussa has earned his surgical fellowship from the Great Lakes Implant Institute where he has completed extensive course work and training in implant dentistry. He enjoys providing patients with the opportunity to replace and restore their dentition to proper function and esthetics in our office with the highest standard of care.

When not practicing dentistry, you can find Dr. Bussa spending his free time with his family and friends and enjoying the great outdoors. He loves to travel and enjoy all that Minnesota has to offer including watersports, skiing, biking, hiking, and yoga. Dr. Bussa is an open book and he is happy to answer any questions you and your family may have.
Dr. Nelson grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota. He attended the University of Wisconsin Madison where he graduated with honors and double majors in Anthropology & Biology. He then returned to University of Minnesota where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
After graduation, he was commissioned as Lieutenant into the U.S. Navy Dental Corps. He was first stationed at Great Lakes Naval Base in North Chicago, IL where he completed a one-year residency and received his Advanced Education General Dentistry certificate. He then served overseas at the Marine Corps Air Station in Iwakuni, Japan where he was awarded a Navy & Marine Corps achievement medal for his clinical work in caring for marines stationed abroad. After Japan, Dr. Nelson landed in Washington state to conclude his active-duty time at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. When Dr. Nelson was honorably discharged from the Navy after five years of active-duty service, he moved onto private practice dentistry in Seattle. Now, he is excited to be back with family in Minnesota and to be joining our Jain Dental team!
Dr. Nelson keeps up on recent developments in dentistry through extensive continuing education coursework to include a one-year surgical course in implant dentistry through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Additionally, Dr. Nelson maintains professional memberships with the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Minnesota Dental Association.
Dr. Nelson is passionate about comprehensive dental patient care, especially restoring or replacing missing teeth to esthetic and healthy smiles. In his personal life, Dr. Nelson is an avid travel, sports, and outdoors enthusiast; he enjoys a healthy dose of running, cycling, snowboarding & wakeboarding, backpacking, hiking, fishing, and time with family.

I moved into the area and need a new dentist and they were great! I've had bad experiences in the past so the fact that Dr Bussa has a friendly tone and always told me what he was doing made it much better for me!

Great experience. Reasonable prices and a top notch dental crew. Dr. Nelson and Nicole took good care of me! I felt heard, well cared for, and I wasn't hassled about any kind of upsale. I will be a loyal customer. They also accept CareCredit payments!

Far exceeded my expectations. For a "discount special" they provided extremely detailed information, images and treatment. Very responsive to my sensitivities and dental history. Caring, gentle, thorough and all around nice energy. Identified particular problem and clearly explained my options and costs. I highly recommend Jain Dental and will be returning soon for a follow up visit.

**WARNING HONEST REVIEW** I've been going to Jain Dental for about 4 years now. I can honestly say that they have provided the BEST experience I've ever had at a Dental Office. Dr. Bussa and ALL of his staff are wonderful. The front desk is more than helpful, flexible, and understanding. The dental hygienists are amazing. Jessica has always been more than informative, knowledgeable, friendly, and works with a great degree of expertise. She makes it a very comfortable experience. Dr. Bussa is my guy. In short, hands down greatest Dentists I've ever had. He is very efficient, if you're like me that's something you really appreciate. He is very personable, making you feel like more than just "another patient in his chair". He is clear and direct, and will let you know exactly what's going on through your entire experience. Over all great Dental Office. CLEAN, CLEAR, KIND, NO JUDGMENT.

The employees are really quick, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly! I'm from Saint Paul so this place is quite a distance from me but I came here with my boyfriend to get him a crown and I was worried about the cost but with how knowledgeable the staff were, it turns out that he only needed a filling, which was able to accomplish the goal we wanted and it was cost effective. Thank you so much and I look forward to all of our upcoming visits.
