Dr. Koo graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2010 and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. His experience working in other dental practices gave him the opportunity to discover exactly the type of practice he wanted to create.

Membership in the program offers a number of great benefits each year, including two cleanings and exams, a full set of X-rays, an emergency exam and X-ray if needed, 10 percent discount on one surface filling, simple extraction, 1-3 teeth scaling and root planing, and a 15 percent discount on our other services. You can also sign up for a semi-annual membership which provides a single cleaning and exam and all of the other mentioned benefits. Its important to select a toothbrush with soft bristles. A soft-bristled brush will adequately clean your teeth without damaging the soft tissues inside your mouth like a hard- or medium-bristled brush can. Also, be sure to buy the proper toothbrush size for you. A toothbrush with a small head will be more comfortable and efficient for smaller mouths, while a larger brush head could work better for larger mouths.
The American Dental Association recommends bringing your child to the dentist before their first birthday, ideally within six months of the appearance of their first tooth. We offer a gentle introduction to the dentist for children as young as 6 months old. We will monitor their development, gently clean their teeth, and answer all of your questions concerning issues such as teething and thumb sucking.

I switched to Jahyun Koo DDS as I recently moved to West Seattle and couldn't be happier with the switch. The doctor and the hygenist have great chemistry to where they barely need to talk to one another but are going through all the normal procedures for dental checkups with ease and efficiency. I've now been for my 3rd checkup and love it.

I had a crown work done at this dental office and had to pay my share of the total bill before they prepped the tooth. The two temporary crowns broke and after the second one I had to just wait for the real crown and try not to break my tooth. On the day of the crown placement, everybody in the office was late, other patients started showing up before I was even taken in, and the dentist had about 5 min to do the installation. But the crown was too big and the dentist end up shaving my upper tooth to make it fit, which I felt is not the right way to deal with the issue. After the installation my tooth was very sensitive and I called the office. I was never passed on to the dentist but the receptionist Julie was playing a doctor and told me she has a crown that has been sensitive for years. Few weeks later the insurance company sent me the bill and I saw they changed the codes to pay the dentist less, which also lowered my share by $100. I was kind enough to call the office to have them explain the charges to me, but Julie was rude, incapable of explaining but just telling me that I own them $72, even though she never sent me a bill, and she hang up on me. Afterwards I looked up the codes and I emailed her to tell her what she was supposed to explain to me and that I am going to change my review of the office. She replied that somebody from the insurance is going to contact me. Not sure why am I supposed to deal with the insurance company to make sure their codes are honored and they are paid for their work. I showed enough good faith by calling them before the office even sent me their bill to inquire about the charges. But I think Julie has behavioral issues and unfortunately makes it impossible to get it to the doctor while she is also incapable of even doing her job.

I had a great experience Dr. Koo installed a crown on one of my upper front teeth I have had other crowns and, because it's visible, I was concerned about it matching the teeth around it. It was perfect. He's a perfectionist when it comes to doing dental work. Taking as much time as necessary so everything is just right. Also I trust him because he doesn't recommend work that's not necessarily needed like some other dentists I've been to.do. I highly recommend him.

Great experience, super professional and sends timely text reminders. A nice dental office. For full transparency I am leaving a review because of a reminder text and since I've only been there once I feel like it's premature to leave a 5 star review. 8/15/2022 Update: If you prefer a dentist that makes up and send bills for arbitrary cancellation fees you never agreed to, that are nowhere on his website and nowhere on any of the firmsiforms you signed, this is the place for you! To say it's unprofessional is an understatement. This fee wasn't mentioned in the return message ( which I received after 3 business days from the original message) I left after requesting a reschedule, either. I normally don't leave negative reviews for small businesses but this does not show good judgement. He also missed quite a few spots in his cleaning the first time around but I didn't mention it because at the time I thought it was a friendly and professional place. I'm sure it's better than no dental treatment at all so I didn't give it a 1 star review.

I found this dentist Dr. KOOa while ago and I've had several problems since I discovered him. Each time he's on time, he fixes everything quickly. The fix works and lasts. He does the cleaning himself so he knows your mouth really well. It's a no nonsense operation. He takes Medicare and for that I am so grateful because that's how I found him in the first place. I actually am not afraid going to see him which is a first for me. highly recommend him

The staff are all friendly and helpful! I had an implant crown made by another dentist and it kept coming off and coming loose. It's been a year since then and it hasn't come loose once. I had another dentist fix it, but after a few months it came loose again. Finally, I came to this dentist and he fixed it, and it's been a year since then and it hasn't come loose once. I really appreciate it. His skill is great!
