Im inspired by seeing the results when comprehensive restorative treatment is used to improve a patients aesthetics and restore the function of their dentition. Beginning his formal education at Southern College in Tennessee, Dr. Jacques earned his bachelor of science degree in biology in 1976. He continued on to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry where he earned his doctorate of dental surgery and was honored for outstanding achievement in oral medicine.
Excited by the ever-changing field of dentistry and advancements in procedures, Dr. Jacques is committed to continuing education. He participates in study clubs and has received additional training in all aspects of dentistry, including endodontics, prosthodontics, cosmetics, oral surgery, orthodontic clear aligners, and implants and grafting, all of which enable major improvements to a patients oral stability and function. He enjoys learning and believes the pursuit of knowledge should continue throughout life.
Board certified and licensed to practice dentistry in South Carolina, North Carolina, and California, Dr. Jacques has been in practice in Greenville, SC, for more than 40 years. He is a staff member of the Greenville Hospital System and an active member of the following professional organizations:
During his time at Loma Linda University, Dr. Jacques was fortunate enough to travel to Haiti as a student missionary dentist and performed numerous surgical procedures on patients in need. Since then, his commitment to the community has not wavered. He has volunteeredhis time and expertise with the Greenville Free Medical Clinic, Dental Access Days, and as a faculty member with MUSC clinical rotations through Greenville Technical College and the Greenville Free Medical Clinic.
A native of Pittsboro, NC, Dr. Jacques and his wife, Mary Jane, settled in her hometown of Greenville, SC, after he completed dental school in 1980. Dr. Jacques works with his daughter, Lauren, in this office. His daughter, Amy, is a journalist in New York City.Dr. Jacques is passionate about his family (especially his three young grandchildren), faith, health, and fitness. He has competed in over 50 marathons (and counting...), including the Boston Marathon 25times!
As a third-generation dentist in Greenville, SC, I grew up around some great mentors, including my father, Dr. Richard Jacques, as well as my grandfather, two uncles, and one cousin who are also dentists. Spending time in my fathers practice encouraged me to become fascinated by the art and science of dentistry, while also fostering my interest in helping those in my community. I saw the pride my father took in his work and his love for what he did each day. Once I entered dental school and began treating my own patients, I truly began to realize just how rewarding the dental profession is. I particularly enjoy working with children and encouraging them to develop healthy dental habits and to enjoy visiting the dentist. Ive met so many wonderful patients and feel honored to have the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives.
Dr. Lauren attended Duke University and earned a bachelor of arts degree in classics, with minors in art history and psychology, in 2004. She continued on to the College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she received her doctorate of dental medicine, and served as vice president of the Honor Council her senior year.
In order to provide her patients with the best dental treatment, Dr. Lauren continues her education with participation in several local study clubs and regular professional training courses. She stays informed about what is happening in the field of dentistry and the latest innovations in technology and techniques, such as orthodontic clear aligners, cosmetics, and prosthodontics.
While attending the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Lauren got the opportunity to participate in a dental mission to Haiti where she provided essential dental care to children and adults in need. Now, she participates with Dental Access Days, Greenville Free Medical Clinic, the Junior League of Greenville, and the St. Francis Forum. Dr. Lauren enjoys treating underserved populations and finds it very humbling to hear how appreciated she is and to realize what an impact her services can have on a patients life.
Dr. Lauren was born and raised in Greenville, SC, and is excited to be working with a great mentor and friend, her father. Dr. Lauren is married to her husband, Richard, a former collegiate and professional golfer who is teaching her and their two young daughters how to play golf.Dr. Lauren enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling -- especially to the South Carolina coast. She loves cheering on Duke basketball, too!

Ally is an important part of our team and you will see her enthusiasm for dentistry all around our office. Whether she is taking radiographs, assisting with procedures, scheduling new patients, or helping in the front office, Ally loves being able to connect with patients. She is engaged to her fiance, Brandon, and they have one fur baby, Milo, who keeps them on their toes. Ally loves traveling, exploring new places, and making special memories along the way.
Melissa loves connecting with patients on a personal level and educating them about their oral health. She brings many years of experience to helping her patients maintain a healthy mouth through cleanings and checkups. Originally from Boston, Melissa has traveled the world as a former flight attendant, taught as a flight instructor in singleengine planes and gliders, and raised five children. When she isn't traveling or flying for fun, Melissa enjoys living the lake life with her beloved fur baby, hiking, kayaking, teaching Qi Gong, cooking and relaxing.
