Pediatric dentistry is my heart. I love coming to work and seeing each child. I strive to make a positive and lasting difference in each young patients life by getting to know them on a personal level and caring for them as I would my own family.
For over 20 years, Dr. Sherida Jacobs has provided a welcoming and safe space for her pediatric dental patients. Offering advanced childrens dentistry, with a focus on prevention and patient/parent education, she helps children grow up at ease in the dental environment and with the confidence needed to maintain healthy, happy smiles.
A mother of five and grandmother of four, Dr. Jacobs understands how to connect with kids, even the anxious ones, in a friendly and non-threatening manner. She and her staff are kind, gentle, and very patient, taking as much time as needed for a little one to settle down and relax.
At the same time, Dr. Jacobs is attuned to parents concerns and understands that each family has specific wishes and expectations. She is dedicated to building good communication with parents and welcomes them into the treatment areas while their child is being seen. Not only does this reassure the little one, but it allows Dr. Jacobs and the family the time and space needed to discuss the childs dental health and for Dr. Jacobs to provide useful guidance and education.
A native of Macon, Dr. Jacobs attended Valdosta State University for her undergraduate studies in Biology. Her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) was obtained at the Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry. Remaining at the Medical College of Georgia, she then completed her rigorous Pediatric Postdoctoral Program.
Through these organizations, she regularly participates in continuing education (CE) with a heavy emphasis on pediatric topics. By attending meetings, lectures, and seminars, as well as reading the latest journals, Dr. Jacobs stays at the forefront of the latest technological innovations and changes in methodologies. These CE opportunities sharpen and define what she and her team can offer to their patients.
Family is Dr. Jacobs greatest passion. If shes not caring for her patients, shes likely to be found spending time with her five children ages 12 to 31 and loving on her four grands. She also enjoys decorating and crafts of all types, is an avid reader, and loves helping at her church.

We have served Middle Georgia infants, children, teens, and youth with special needs since 2000. Throughout the years, we have maintained a highly-regarded reputation by demonstrating quality dentistry, professionalism, and always placing our patients care above all else.
Dr. Jacobs and each member of our team is highly-skilled, experienced, and regularly completes continuing professional education. Were also kind, thoughtful, and love what we do: we spend our days with energetic kids and get to enjoy real, positive relationships with each!

This place was amazing with my daughter! My daughter over the experience and was excited to get her teeth cleaned. The staff was wonderful with her and was very patient with my daughter who is a wiggle worm.

Updating my review- My 6 year old daughter managed to break 2 front adult teeth on the trampoline around 8:15 PM. The very next morning, I was on the phone with Jacob's office staff first thing. By 11AM we were already back home and my baby has 2 new beautiful teeth. You'd never know she broke them in half. Dr. Jacobs and her staff were FAST at getting my baby in & had her all fixed in no time. I was able to stay with her through the procedure and I can't say enough great things about the care they gave my child.

The doctor and nurses/ technicians are wonderful here. Sometimes the front desk staff act short with people, but my children don't mind coming here...

Ended up spending almost $100 more than I was told when I booked my child's appointment initially. During check-in, I was once again given the cost for services. Extra unnecessary services were done without my consent, then I was stuck with additional charges. After making a complaint during the checkout, Dr. Jacob's called, which didn't go well because not only was I blamed for their negligence, I wasn't contacted by the oral surgeon. Guess I wrecked it, due to speaking up regarding this disservice, but I will always speak out when something's off. I hate seeing people get taken advantage of financially and in this case, it was me! I will not return to Jacob's Pediatry.

Amazing. If your little ones are afraid of the dentist or not so sure this is the place to bring them. They make getting your teeth cleaned fun. Everyone in the office is super friendly & very helpful. All around a wonderful practice.

I have taken my children for both cleaning appointments and for restorative work and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Jacobs and her whole staff. My son has a lot of special needs and is very fearful and uncooperative at dental appointments. The hygienist went slow and took the time to make my son feel comfortable. On top of managing his behaviors she was also able to do a great and thorough cleaning on him. It means so much to me to know that my kids are cared for while at this office and I can't imagine taking them anywhere else.

Our family had a hiccup with a previous situation; however, the billing coordinator got to the bottom of the problem and cleared the issue. My son loves the staff and they are very patient with him when it comes to his fears. Never had a problem with getting a same day appointment for an emergency. I will definitely continue to use Jacobs Dentistry!

Love how they tell the child what is going on and what they are going to do before they do it, so that the child will not be afraid. Love the patience that they have with the children.

I love the office staff, they are always so great with my child. My only concern is the parent/legal guardian being the ONLY person to bring the child to appointments. The hours are hard to work with as is and for kids with one living or active parent, I feel they should try to accommodate. I shouldn't have to risk my job to drive 35 min for a 10 minute cleaning when I have other people willing to help. My mother helps with appts because her job is more flexible. She drove 40 mins to the appt and was refused services. Just like the pediatrician, try to give us reasonable options. We should be allowed to send whoever we trust with our child. Any additional info can be relayed to the parent by email, call , written slip or a parent portal.

My daughter has been seen in this office for the past 9 years! We've never had any problems with the staff, billing or getting referrals! My daughter had to have braces, referral to great orthodontist. She then had to have her wisdom teeth out, referral to great surgeon! She looks forward to going every 6 months! Unfortunately, her next 6 months checkup, will be her last, due to her age. We will definitely miss Dr Jacobs and all of the staff.
