In addition to offering fantastic preventive family and cosmetic dentistry with a gentle chairside manner, Dr. Jacob Stein is committed to remaining at the forefront of dental technology. At our practice, you can find the best in tried and true dental techniques paired with state-of-the-art procedures to offer our patients a wide range of treatment options. There are many advances in dental technology that make treatments easier and more convenient.
Diagnostic- Digital radiographs (x-rays) have replaced old-fashioned x-ray technology at our office. In addition to exposing the patient to approximately 90% less radiation to make the images, digital radiographs eliminate the need for developing chemicals, as well as x-ray film storage. They are simply uploaded to and stored in a computer system. This also makes a great visual aid for Dr. Stein to share the images with the patient and explain any conditions present or treatment needed.
Cosmetic- We use the Glo in-office and at-home teeth whitening process. This method uses the most cutting edge teeth whitening technologies-utilizing bleaching gel with a special light that increases the bleachs effectiveness. The thing that makes it different from some other teeth whitening procedures is that it produces little to no sensitivity. Some other cosmetic procedures that we offer include porcelain dental veneers and composite resin dental bonding. Both of these treat a wide range of cosmetic flaws by masking them with a beautiful new front tooth surface.
Restorative- Restorative dentistry involves the repair or replacement of broken or lost teeth. Dr. Stein offers patients options such as CAD/CAM technology to create one-visit Zirconium porcelain dental crowns for patients with broken teeth. Lost teeth can be addressed with bridges or porcelain dental implants. Porcelain dental veneers, in addition to being great cosmetically, can also be used as restorative treatments for some types of chips, cracks, gaps between teeth, and even mild orthodontic problems.
Dr. Jacob Stein graduated from Boston University Goldman school of Dental Medicine in 1994, and founded his dental practice, Jacob Stein DMD, Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, in 1995. Through his dental practice he has served the Northborough, Massachusetts area for over 18 years. When your exam is complete, Dr. Stein will discuss any conditions or problems that require attention. A personalized treatment plan will be created. As many dental problems can be addressed in more than one manner, Dr. Stein will discuss your various treatment options with you. This is so that you can make an informed choice regarding your treatment plan. In emergency situations, treatment may be possible on the same day.
All payments are due when services are rendered. We accept cash, personal checks, all major credit cards, and many insurance plans. If you have questions about your insurance coverage, please call the office for information. While we will file claims and do our best to help you maximize your insurance benefits, please understand that your insurance policy is an agreement between you and your insurance company.

Hands down the friendliest group of people out there! While I still don't like the idea of going to the dentist and having my mouth poked and prodded, the staff at Jacob Stein DMD makes it a joy to go in. For the first time in my life, I've gotten consistent cleanings every 6 months- and I look forward to it every time. If you're looking for a new dentist, or if you're looking for your first dentist, give them a chance! You will not regret it.

I was recommended many years ago to go see Dr. Stein for a root canal, I am a very hard patient in the sense that novicane wares off within minutes for me. The entire experience was overall great though, Dr. Stein was very kind and patient with me. I have stuck with his office throughout the years because his staff, especially his assistant Karen and Administrative assistant Dale have been nothing if not extended family to me. I am so greatfull to have had the pleasure of using him as my dentist as I feel comfortable and welcomed every time I am there. I highly recommend this office.

I have been going to Dr. Stein for years and I have had crowns, a root canal, fillings, cleanings, etc performed at his office. He is a wonderful dentist, extremely thorough and very accommodating. His staff is fantastic. They are some of the nicest ladies you will ever meet. Thank you Dr. Stein, Karen, Janice and Dale. I hope to be returning to your office for years and years to come. This is one of the best dental experiences I've had. The whole staff is extremely friendly and you can tell they value their patients. Typically, I leave the dentist dreading my next visit, but I did not feel this way after visiting Dr. Stein's office. I had 2 fillings and didn't feel an ounce of pain the whole time. The cleaning was also very thorough and not as uncomfortable as had remembered in the past when going to other dentists. I highly recommend this dental facility and have already referred most of my co-workers and family who live around this area.

I visited Dr. Stein's office from a referral. I had cracked one of my molars and needed a root canal as soon as possible. I called and the staff scheduled me for the following business day, which I thought was a great response. The office is centrally located so it was easy to find with ample parking. After the usual paperwork I was taken right in and had x-rays done. Dr. Stein came in and administered some Novocain and started the procedure. Now, I think we are conditioned to accept a certain level of pain and discomfort when it comes to visiting a dentist. But guess what? Not only DIDN'T I experience ANY pain during the root canal but no Advil was needed afterward!! It sounds crazy, but it's the absolute truth. I will continue to refer all my friends and family to this wonderfully professional dentist office! It was a great experience and I encourage you to give them a try! Trent Robbins West Boylston, MA
