I was born and raised here in the Rogue Valley and attended the Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls where I graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene and a minor in Psychology. In addition to oral health, my professional passion and focus is natural whole-body health. Everything is intricately connected within us and around us. My husband and I met during school at OIT and together we have 2 wonderfully goofy kids. When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my kiddos and the ever growing menagerie of animals on our mini farm.
I am originally from the Bay Area, but moved here with my family to Medford when I was very young. I graduated from High School in 2004, after which I attended Abdill Career College of Dental Assisting. I worked as a dental assistant for a year and a half in Eugene, OR then returned to Medford in 2006 and have been working as an assistant here ever since. I now have my EFDA certificate which I'm so proud of!
I became a proud member of Dr. Jake Layer's dental team in February 2014. Working as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant has given me a fantastic opportunity to help educate and care for the best patients Southern Oregon has to offer. Outside of work, I enjoy time with my husband of over 40 years, our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. Together we enjoy camping, cooking, and watching movies. In my spare time I love to kick off my shoes, grab my laptop and write fiction.
I was born and raised in the Rogue Valley and graduated from high school in 2013 then attended Rogue Community College shortly after. In 2018 I graduated from Southern Oregon Dental Assisting Education. I enjoy shooting, camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with my husband, two children, and two dogs. Currently I am working towards becoming EFDA certified and Radiology certified.
