Going to the dentist is not on the top of the list of fun things to do for most people. We understand. It only gets worse if you are shuffled through a large dental office with too many doctors to count. We want to offer you and your family a safe and as calm a dental experience as possible.

Dr. Nix and staff are amazing! Everyone is so kind and knowledgeable. I was able to receive Invisalign treatment with Dr. Nix at a great price and couldn't be happier with the results! Dr. Nix and his staff take wonderful care of their patients.

Dr. Nix is a excellent dentist but also a genuinely great guy to chat with. If it wasn't for the contraption shoved on my mouth, dental appointments would feel a bit like meeting a friend for happy hour. Dr Nix and his team get me in and out fast, I enjoy my time there, it doesn't hurt and I never have any problems with my teeth. Hard to ask for anything more than that. He takes care of my wife and kid as well and we all have good things to say.

For people who are looking for a new dentist - Quick shout out to the office of Jacob A. Nix, D.M.D., and the office manager, MAUREEN. The documentation for my dental plan was unclear. Maureen went above and beyond in both scheduling and confirming coverage. She was friendly, informative, and efficient. After speaking with her, I had a clearer understanding of my coverage than after multiple conversations with the insurance company. Thank you!

Dr Nix is a great dentist and his staff is also very good. The dental regular cleaning every 6 months is a very good one. A highly recommend dentist! For you and your family (works with kids)

I was recommended by a roommate, and have had nothing but great experiences there. The staff is friendly and Dr. Nix is efficient and also very friendly! Even in a pandemic their service is unmatched and I was glad I could get my teeth cleaned. I've since passed on the recommendation to a new roommate, and hopefully whoever is reading this.

By far the best dentist I have ever had. I've walked in several times ready to need pricey work done, and every time he has passed on performing unnecessary work and given me peace of mind at minimal cost- the total opposite of my previous two dentists. Despite having a busy schedule he is always all in to deal with my many dentistry related anxieties, and he will take time to answer all questions asked of him. Also, he's pretty funny. The staff is awesome as well. Maureen and Stephanie are terrific! I've only met the hygienist once, but she was also great. If you're looking for a good dentist, this is absolutely the best dental care available in the area.

Dr. Nix is a caring, gentle dentist. He has provided high quality dental care to myself, my wife and kids for a few years now, and has always been timely, kind and professional. He is open now, and maintaining full precautions in light of COVID-19.

My search for the best dentist in town is finally OVER!!After my regular dentist was forced to early retirement in 2015 I was totally upset and back to my old way..skip the dental office visiting. I actually saw 2 more dentists after that and both of them sucks so I gave up until I broke my tooth and urgently need to see good dentist. I spent time reading reviews &did my research and I found few candidates. I called those few office but only impressed in Dr.Nix's office. Maureen is wonderful receptionist as a matter of fact they are all friendly and very caring for the patients. Dr.Nix has sence of humor,he makes me feel comfortable and forgot the toothache or the needle!! He explained about the procedures every step of the way and gave options before he proceeds unlike my last dentist who put a surprise charges on my bill !!!I am a happy camper now and looking for long-term relationship with Dr. Nix's office. I can have my healthy teeth and gums again with great dentist like him.

Best dentist I've had bar none! I first went to Dr. Nix for a tooth problem that I was incredibly nervous about because of the location of the tooth and the complexity involved in resolving the problem. The complications I'd been warned about came in full swing and through the year and a half it took to get the tooth fixed, I couldn't have been in more competent and meticulous hands. In addition to being a really good dentist who's super skilled in his craft, Dr. Nix is personable, genuinely cares about his patients, and best of all, works with a team that has the same qualities. In fact, I'm impressed by the Nix team that I've continued traveling to Silver Spring even after moving an hour away. I'm a strong believer in keeping and sharing something good when I find it so here I am!

Dr. Nix's office provides an extremely professional and courteous experience for patients, and is a welcome respite from my previous encounters with dentists. Options for treatment and a breakdown of fees from my insurance provider were clearly explained to me before any work was done and I left feeling as though I'd made the best decision for myself as a patient, rather than the other way around.
