Aside from spending his time being a self-proclaimed dental nerd, Dr. Ryan Johnson loves to spend his time with his wife, Rose, his better half and fellow dentist and their toddler daughter Shandy. Shandys nickname is Dinger and she is the apple of his eye. They love traveling, fishing, dining, spending time with friends and family. Rose and Ryan met in dental school and have been happy ever since. He pursues his work and life with vigor, a smile, and a strong sense of humor. Laughing is one of his favorite things to do.
Ryan was born in Bemus Point, New York. Bemus is a small rural town near Buffalo. Immediately following high school, Ryan moved to sunny Gainesville, Florida to attend the University of Florida where he earned a bachelors degree in finance. Ryan worked in finance and management for several years. As time passed, it became increasingly more apparent that something was missing.
Dr. Stevenson has been active in dentistry for decades. He is a part of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Dental Institutes, the Florida Academy of Dental Practice Administration, and Woehler Research Group. He believes strongly in giving back to the dental community.

Awesome dental practice. Yesterday Dr. Johnson performed a very delicate procedure that will improve my overall dental health. Received my first exam here and I am very pleased. I had an "emergency" where I broke a tooth and they were able to fit me in the same day. Super clean, no wait, excellent care, and great blend of information with caring conversation. Ms. Tracy, Ms. Joyce, Dr. Ryan and many other employees were all wonderful and great to work with.

I can't say enough good things about Jacksonville Dental Excellence. Everyone was so nice and attentive, I was weirded out at first - which is a product of me being unfortunately used to the underwhelming experiences I had in the previous dental practice I used to go to here in JAX. Dr. Johnson was extremely knowledgeable and took his time explaining everything to do with my diagnosis and treatment options. Pippa, Joyce and Shirleen were the absolute highlight of my day with their attentive, kind and welcoming demeanor. And this may sound like "a bit much" (even I think so), but I almost cried leaving the office because I was feeling very much like "what just happened?" with the unbelievable level of service and care I got. I haven't experienced this level of care in a dental office in many years (what was I even doing, right?!?). I'm so happy to have given JDE a go after a friend's recommendation and I look forward to my treatment with them. Thank you to all of you at JDE!

After years of dental appointments, I almost wasn't even sure that I was in a dental office last Tuesday as I took a seat in the Jacksonville Dental Office waiting to have my questions answered concerning the reportedly excellent Doctor and his service. To my totally unexpected surprise Dr. Johnson walked quietly into the area and in his kindly way introduced himself. I had already met several of his welcoming and thoughtful employees. Throughout the following visit, Dr. Johnson addressed my goals and concerns in clear and realistic terms. I am truly looking forward to working with the Dr. and his team into a better future.

Literally felt like I was walking into someone's house. Staff is exceedingly friendly and help make sure your experience is comfortable. Doesn't feel like a dentists office despite being a very professional one

Oh My Gosh, when I tell you these wonderful people did an amazing job getting both top and bottom wisdom tooth out; I've never felt so much better. They are so kind, patient, and they made me feel very comfortable. Most definitely a 1000/10
