Dr. Scott Jackson was born and raised in Hialeah, Florida. After visiting his cousin in Agropoli, Italy, he decided to become a dentist. He served in the United States Navy during Operation Desert Storm in 1991 as a Dental Technician. Dr. Jackson did his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1995.
Following his graduation, he worked as an associate dentist in Jacksonville, FL for three years before opening a practice in Ocala, FL. He currently resides in Summerfield, FL with his wife and three children. He enjoys playing guitar with friends and traveling with his family.
Dr. Joseph C. Joyce was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was raised in Gainesville. He attended the University of Florida earning his Bachelor of Science (1995) and Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (1999). In 2004, he earned a Master of Science in Oral Biology from The George Washington University.
Dr. Joyce served in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps as a comprehensive dentist. In 2006, he returned from a seven-month deployment to Fallujah, Iraq, where he served as a dentist for the U.S. Marine Corps. After his seven-year-long military career, he completed a two-year comprehensive dentistry residency at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Joyce has completed over 900 hours of postgraduate dental education. He is the only dentist in Ocala, FL recognized as a Diplomate with the American Board of General Dentistry, one of the most prestigious recognitions in general dentistry. He now resides in Ocala, Florida and is married with three children. He enjoys fishing, surfing, boating and attending University of Florida athletic events.
Lauren is from Land O Lakes, Florida. She attended the University of Florida and obtained a Bachelors degree in Health Science Education. After working for a year, she returned to community college and received a degree in Nursing. She then became a Registered Nurse.
While in college, she met her husband and they traveled the country while he served in the United States Navy. They now have three beautiful boys. Lauren has been at Jackson & Joyce Family Dentistry for 14 years, starting as front desk reception then a Business Manager. Although she is busy with her family and job, she loves to play tennis.
