Dr. Ortega is a graduate of University of Southern California School of Dentistry, one of the best in the country. After dental school he completed a residency at Valley Medical Center where he treated medically compromised patients in a hospital setting.
His emphasis on patient comfort as well as keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry enable him to provide his patients with the best quality of care in the field. Dr. Ortega has a wide range of experience in different areas of dentistry, from cosmetic and restorative dentistry to surgical treatments and root canal treatments.

We have a modern sterilization system that surpasses OSHA requirements. The source of water for our dental units is distilled water (bottled water) which removes any chances for contamination from regular tap water such as that used in most dental offices.
We provide gentle, family oriented dental care to the adults and children of this community. We utilize the best equipment sterilization techniques available to dentists. In addition to general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry, we work with specialists in Periodontics (gum diseases), Implant dentistry and Endodontics (root canal treatments) and other specialists. With this team we emphasize comprehensive care, quality and preventive dentistry.

I've been going to Dr. Ortega for over 10 years now. I'm 62 years old and have never been to such a wonderful dentist office. The staff is so nice and helpful, the hygienist are friendly and kind and Dr. Ortega is just a Wonderfully nice man. I feel blessed to have such a great place to go.

Mia did a very professional job as my dental hygienist. She mentioned a few ways I could take even better care of my teeth (electric toothbrush) and Dr. Ortega is a pleasant dentist to interact with. I don't often need dental work other than cleaning . I feel a large part of why I don't need major dental work is because of the advice I get from Dr. Ortega and his hygienists. I also like the fact that they are a bilingual practice.

I had put off dental care for a couple of years due to COVID. I had picked out a provider before but turned out she was a denier. Found Dr. Ortega by recommendation from a valued colleague. He is pleasant, kind, knowledgeable. His suggestions have been helpful. He worked very hard to save two of my teeth. His staff is very nice and respectful. His office is clean, bright, tranquil, and they play nice music. They accept my insurance. The entire staff is masked and vaccinated. Great place to go for care.

I am disappointed that I can no longer use my expensive partial because Dr Ortega requested that the two molars that held the partial in place be removed. Now I only have four teeth in my lower jaw. Very difficult to eat.

Dr. Kang was informative and skilled. I was concerned as only Dr. Ortega's name was associated with the office. But because I needed a differential dx due to persistent pain and I could get an appt with Mendo Smiles (my previous DDS wouldn't see me for another 2 weeks!) I went in (with concerns). I left reassured and with a strong recommendation. Dr. Kang took the time for a history, evaluation, and explaining options. The recommended work was done (pain-free) and even as the anesthesia was wearing off was relieved of pain. All the staff were helpful. Office staff wore masks, HEPA filters in the rooms, and some staff disclosed vaccination status. If you need dental work - even unusual work, this is a safe place with competent staff. UPDATE: After 3 infections and 3 rounds of antibiotics before and after the root canal, a consult endodontist evaluated and in summry concluded that the tooth was too far gone and root canal should never have been performed and implant also not recommended. Was referred to peridontist, tooth was removed. Julie's assistance (Ortega's office manager) afterwards was extremely helpful and appreciated.
