Danielle graduated from Middle Georgia College in 1996 with an Associate of Science degree and then went on to the Medical College of Georgia where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1998.She has been employed with Dr. Pournelle since 2004. She is married and has two sons. She enjoys outdoor activities such as running, kayaking, and camping with her family.
Mallory attended Georgia Southern University for two years upon graduating from high school. She then went to Southeastern Technical College where she graduated in 2013 with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been employed with Dr. Pournelle since 2013. She is married, hasone son, and enjoys spending time with family, shopping, and traveling.
Whitney graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2005 with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She is married and has one son. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching her son play sports, and traveling.
Chelsea graduated from Ogeechee Technical College in 2011. She has been a receptionist at Dr. Pournelles office since 2013. She is married, has one daughter, and enjoys spending time with family and painting.
Dr. John Pournelle attended the University of Georgia, majoring in biochemistry and qualifying to be a member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Medical Honor Society and the Gold Key National Honor Society. After completing the pre-dental requirements in three years, Dr. Pournelle applied for and received early admission to the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, where he earned his DMD degree.Upon graduation, Dr. Pournelle returned to his hometown of Soperton, Georgia, and opened hisgeneraldentistry practice in July of 1981.
Dr. Pournelle prioritizes compassionate care and patient safety to help ensure his patients' smiles remain healthy and beautiful.He strives to keep the practice up-to-date with the latest dental technologies to minimize discomfort while maximizing results.
Dr. Pournelle is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Georgia Dental Association (GDA). He enjoys all activities with his family, playing golf, and is in his thirtieth year of broadcasting Treutlen High School Football.

Hmm... pretty poor customer service. I can't speak for the entire office, but receptionist was rude & seemed uninterested. Very different from the town, as the county is warm & inviting. We'll try somewhere else...

The front desk staff is very rude.(fifty year old with raccoon looking eyeliner and a ponytail) Two of my appointments that I was on time for were supposedly canceled because they 'could not get in touch with' me when the appointments were both confirmed only a couple of days before. I like Dr.Pournelle and the hygienists but I will be finding another office because in inconvenience of taking off for work for this!

Had to change dentists because my childrens appointments kept being moved and canceled without warning. The thing you sign in with would always gets a attitude with my wife as if her jealously couldn't be contained. Dr.Pournelle needs to look into some new staff for scheduling that can handle the job and treat people with decency. Word is out.

Not sure they're having a bad day or was short staff or what, called Front desk to let them know my son who is almost 18 in his capable of going by yourself was outside, But I also wanted to talk to her or Someone about a tooth that's been giving him trouble, she would not even let me explain heard me off the phone and said will call him when we're ready and click that was it, and per my 17-year-old son when he went in there he said they wouldn't even talk to him and was rushing to get a filling done, And he does have more than one filling Unfortunately several and I don't understand why they could not do at least two fillings per visit? Except for more $$! After he left he said he didn't feel like he needed to go back there anymore because they were not friendly at all toward him and he was referring to the dentist and dental assistant I'm assuming because he didn't say anything about the front desk but I've already had an issue with whoever she was to begin with. Will be calling to get dental records and change and dentist after I talk to them again in attempt this one more time tomorrow.

Every time I went he never spoke. Never explained what he was about to do and seemed annoyed when I would ask I went in for a few fillings and had to switch dentists due to the fact that he refused to acknowledge an actively rotting tooth and would rather work on One filling at a time. Never answered the phone but canceled our appointments at multiple times. Staff was friendly but what does that do when you have to go somewhere else and they tell you how messed up your fillings are, that they have go completely redo them? I definitely don't recommend this dentist office at all. Good luck to you if you do choose to go, maybe Pournelle actually do his job.

Dr. John Pournelle is the best dentist around! He has the sweetest staff and he is extremely kind! He takes his time to explain everything and really listens to his customers. We love Dr. John and would recommend him to anyone!!
