Dr. Smith has been taking care of and providing smiles in the Lithia Springs and Douglasville areas since 1995. Dr. Smith worked with Dr. Larry Webb in Lithia Springs for a year before purchasinghis Douglas Countypractice in March 1996. Prior to coming to Douglas County, Dr. Smith practiced in a group practice setting in Fayetteville, Georgia for two and a half years.
Dr. Smith is a native of northeast Georgia. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry.Dr. Smithhas been recognized as an USA Top Dentist (selected by his dental peers) since 2009. Dr. Smith is a member of the Northwest District Dental Society, the Georgia Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Smith also attends dental continuing education classes regularly to stay up to date with the ever changing field of dentistry.
In his free time, Dr. Smith likes to travel, go hiking and camping in the North Georgia mountains, attend University of Georgia football games and enjoys playing the clarinet in community bands and orchestras.
Janis is a dental hygienist with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science from Asheville-Buncombe Community College. She has been a practicing hygienist for many years, both here and in North Carolina. Janis has worked with Dr. Smith since 1996 and also worked with the previous dentist, Dr. Larry Webb when he owned the practice. Janis maintains her excellence by attending CE courses each year. She makes it a point to get to know her patients to provide more individualized treatment with a gentle, yet thorough touch. In her spare time, Janis likes to spend time with her family, play tennis and do freelance graphic design.
Terri has been a registered dental hygienist for 30 years. She graduated from Clayton State College in 1983 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science. She has worked with a periodontist but really enjoys working in a general dental practice as it gives the opportunity to work with patients of all ages. Terri has been with Dr. Smith's office since 2006. She enjoys working along with Dr. Smith because, like herself, he is very committed to complete excellence in patient care by attending annual continuing education classes and staying current on all new technology in dentistry. Terri enjoys beach trips, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her brand new grand daughter, Allie.
Mary Ella has been with our office since 2003.. Mary Ella is experienced in insurance verification, scheduling and is cpr certified. She is dedicated to making sure our patients feel like their needs are taken care of in all scheduling, financial and insurance matters. She has over 17 years experience in the dental field. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family.

Everyone in this office was very kind and willing to help you. The dentist Mr. J. Keith Smith told me what I needed to do to fix my teeth. Gave names of other dentist I needed to see. I really enjoyed my visit there. I told someone about my visit , now they want to go! I am looking forward to my next visit.

I have anxiety about going to the dentist and Dr. Smith and his staff have been very empathetic, calm, and reassuring, and also very personable. I also have tooth sensitivity and a high tolerance to numbing medicine. Dr. Smith took my concerns seriously and gave me plenty of numbing medicine. My cleaning, cavity filling, and even the initial needle to numb my mouth we're all very gentle. You can tell everyone in this office cares about the patients and the work they do. I can't recommend this dentist office enough!

Dr. Smith is the best. He has been my family dentist for years. I recently broke a tooth and needed a crown. My crown feels like a natural tooth! Also, I am very cautious regarding covid, and Dr. Smith and his staff have been proactive in creating and advising me on their protocols to ensure we all stay healthy. I highly recommend Dr. Smith and his staff!

I've been going to Dr. Smith for 19 years. Dr. Smith and his staff treats everyone like a family member, with patience and care. I like how he's a perfectionist and strives to make your smile the way you want it to be. While working on your teeth he consistently ask you how you are doing and describes what he's going to do next. He's the first painless dentist I've been to! Exceeded my expectations. I am extremely fearful of the dentist and this was a pleasant experience. The hygienist is also amazing! I would highly recommend for anyone who may be afraid from poor experiences in the past. This doctor will not disappoint.

I have very sensitive teeth and visiting the dentist is usually accompanied with nerves and anxiety. Dr. Smith has taken away all of these fears. He walks his patients through the entire process as he is working. He is very in-tune with his patient's sensitivity tolerance and welcomes open communication if any discomfort is felt. I highly recommend Dr. Smith. He runs a very professional, clean and friendly dental practice.

Don't bother going there without insurance, especially cash patients. This is one of those quick to pull a tooth for an implant type dentists, forget the least invasive way. He didn't even try, just looked at it (cap fell off), was 100% sure I need an implant, wet handshake and $100+ bill for 5mins. Went elsewhere and they put a post on that crown and recemented for roughly the same amount, no issues whatsoever. Don't be gullible, get a second opinion.

Dr. Keith Smith is an EXCEPTIONAL dentist!! He is caring, patient and does incredible work. I haven't always had good experiences with dentists. They would hurry with the shots and not worry about how you are feeling. Dr. Smith not only gives the best shots but talks to you through the whole procedure to make sure you are doing alright. That means a lot to me because I have a hard time with the numbing meds. He is gentle, kind and the best dentist you will ever find. This attitude carries through to his staff as well. Just a good experience overall!! I have been going to him for over 20 years now.
