He attended Baylor College of Dentistry. While he was there, he met his wife Lisa, who was training as a hygienist. They married in 1984. After Dr. Joey graduated in 1986, he enlisted in the Air Force and continued his training, adding to his IV sedation and surgical skills. The family relocated to Kilgore in 1990.Dr. Joey loves learning and teaching. You'll often find him speaking to students at local schools. In 2008, Dr. Joey completed the 10-month Maxi-Course in Implant Dentistry at the Atlanta Center for Restorative Dentistry Medical College of Georgia. He also studied in France under Dr. Hilt Tatum, a pioneer in dental surgery. Dr. Joey is a founding member and frequent lecturer of the Advanced Dental Implant Studies. Since 2009, he has been a leader of this select group of implant dentists seeking to continue their education.

In 2011, Dr. Joey became an Associate Fellow with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He completes over 100 hours of continuing education per year and is a member of the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Joey is an elder at Kilgore Bible Church, and he is continually amazed at the grace of God towards us. He loves helping others see the love that God has for us in spite of ourselves. He hopes you'll look around the office and notice some of the beautiful art created by his talented wife Lisa. He enjoys exercise and completed his first triathlon in 2017. He loves spicy foodand he can't wait to meet you!

Originally from Arp, Texas, Dr. Erica completed her BS in biology at UT Tyler. She attended dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at Houston. Dr. Erica graduated with her DDS in 2020. While in dental school, Dr. Erica was involved in many community service efforts, including multiple TMOMs and community health fairs.

Dr. Erica married her husband Sean in 2016. They have two adopted cats. Ranger and Luna. When she's not in the office, Dr. Erica enjoys traveling with her husband, reading a good book, or spending time with her family.

Dr. Erica is interested in many areas of dentistry and enjoys attending continuing education courses to ensure that she is giving the best and most up-to-date care to her patients. Come get to know her and let her care for you today.

Audrey has experience teaching Spanish and loves to help our Hispanic community attain better oral health. She is grateful for the patients God bringsus and enjoys providing them with outstanding care that goes beyond expectations. Audrey enjoys cooking and spending time with her three adorable grandchildren.

Rachel has been with us since 2017 and is a registered dental assistant. Her outgoing personality makes her a favorite with our patients. Rachel's work ethic motivates her to tackle any task God gives her to doand she does whatever it takes to get the job done. Her favorite scripture is Matthew 5:14-16.

Maryana is excited to work with her new teammates! She loves meeting new people and being able to help translate for patients who need help. Maryana says, 'I will do my very best to give everyone the best care possible.'

Outside of work, Maryana's world revolves around her husband and daughter. She enjoys watching Netflix and drinking a Frappuccino from Starbucks. She hopes one day to travel to Paris and take lots of pictures.

Erin has been part of the J. de Graffenried team since 2012. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in biology and from Blinn College in 2011 with an Associate of Applied Sciences in dental hygiene.

Nicole began working at J. de Graffenried Dentistry in 2016. She graduated cum laude from Tyler Junior College in 2015 in dental hygiene. Nicole received the Clinical Coordinator Award for characteristics in leadership. Nicole loves the team and our patients like family. She loves getting to know you and your family, and you will enjoy getting to know her.

Hailey joined our team in 2015. She graduated from North East Texas Community College in 2009 with an Associate of Applied Science in dental hygiene. Hailey loves the compassion and care our doctors and team give every patient. Our team and patients love her for her gentleness and caring personality.

Karen chose the profession of dentistry because she believes it is so important to everyone's overall health. Her goal is to build friendship and trust so patients feel comfortable. She wants all of our patients to have a healthy, beautiful smile.

Karen graduated in 1988 from Tyler Jr. College. She is grateful to work with a Christian, family-oriented team that is committed to excellent care and continuing education. Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time with family and friendsand attending Henderson Lions football games.

Jennifer earned her RDA license in 2008 and joined our team as a dental assistant that same year. She has attended numerous dental education courses, including the American Academy of Implant Dentistry's 2010 annual meeting and the Advanced Dental Implant Studies Summit in Atlanta, Georgia.

Arlexus 'Lexi' Sanders joined our team in 2018. She graduated on the Dean 's List at Vista College in Longview and has over two years of experience as a dental assistant. Lexi values every patient that walks through our door and enjoys helping each one get the very best patient care that J. de Graffenried Dentistry can offer.

As part of our team of Dental Assistants, Dariana's goal is to serve our patients with the best care possible.Dariana is fluent in Spanish and is excited to be working with us while she attends Kilgore College.

Makenzie was born and raised in Kilgore, Texas. She graduated from Vista College on the President's list. She enjoys meeting new people, getting to know them, and helping them feel comfortable. When she isn't working, Makenzie enjoys spending time with her family.

Julia has been our marketing director and has been beautifying our office since 2016.Julia brings more than 20 years' of graphic design experience. We love her generosity and how hard she works to let others know about the rest of our amazing, talented dental team.
