Dr. JC and his family have been involved in dentistry their entire lives. His father is a recently retired General Dentist and his brother trained as an Endodontist (root canal dental specialist). After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Javeriana University and Master of Science degree at the University of Illinois, Dr JC trained as an Orthodontist at Oregon Health Sciences University. He has been in practice for over two decades and is now responsible for thousands of beautiful and healthy smiles.
Despite his academic achievements and his impressive career, Dr. J.C. would rather be recognized for the special devotion he has for each and every one of his patients. His manual dexterity, his chairside manner and his ability to make his patients feel special, make him the best choice in San Jose and Silicon Valley today.
Rosie joined our team in 2012, Rosie strives to help patients understand treatment recommendations made by Dr. Cadena and ensuring that patients understand the different phases of orthodontic treatment. She also enjoys getting to know patients and their families. Rosie is bilingual and always happy to assist our Spanish speaking patients. When Rosie is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Rosie is an avid soccer fan; both Rosie and her husband are actively involved in their local soccer community.
Adriana joined us full time in the summer of 2014. She is a graduate of San Jose City College. Adriana is bilingual, which adds to her outstanding communication skills and is always eager to lend a helping hand. When she is not at work, Adriana enjoys spending time with her family and spoiling her two nieces.
Peggy has been working at Dr. Cadenas office for 20 years as the clinical supervisor. She appreciates a good sense of humor, and is always joking around and having fun with patients and co-workers. She is affectionately known around the office for enforcing good hygiene. Peggy enjoys spending time with her son Brandon and volunteering at her church. As clinical supervisor, Peggy strives to make your first visit as fun and pleasant as possible.

I am so happy I went with Dr. Cadena! He was part of the team that helped me get through my double jaw surgery. It was hectic trying to find a good dentist and orthodontist to help me with my problems about three years ago. But I was lead to Dr. Cadena and was very happy and satisfied! From the very beginning they told me how the process would work and the amount due which was exactly what I wanted. Even with everything with COVID, they were a great support! Last Thursday I finally got my braces off and am beyond happy. For my surgery and for the help of Dr. Cadena!

5 stars!! I had an great experience with Dr. Cadena and his whole team. They are all amazing. I got my braces on a few months before the Covid-19 lockdown, and although it was an uncertain time for all of us, they did their best to assure the safety of their patients and staff. I got my braces off a few weeks ago, and I am beyond happy with the results! My sister was Dr. Cadena's patient about 11 years ago, and she had a great experience, just like I did. J.C. Cadena DDS MS is highly recommended by my family!

This morning was very special for me because my braces were taken off. I appreciate all the JC teamwork who took care of my braces for 16 months. They are so professional and kind. Therefore, I highly recommend Dr. Cadena for everyone who needs braces. I'm so happy with my new teeth, and satisfied with my treatment. If you enter this place, your teeth will be perfect. So... I have been trying to get my treatment since November. I still haven't been able to start and that the reason why I'm giving 1 star. I had previous work done but doctor Cadena recommend a surgery since day one to get the result that I wanted and I didn't do it the first time because I was scared but I have realized that I would want to and that's the reason I went back. I understand that due to COVID things change and you would expect to but as a customer service worker I always tried to do the best for my customers. I have been trying to get a hold of someone that can actually help me but The manager just said that they were trying to get me back as soon as possible and this was back in the second week of December. I have gotten approval for my surgery but I need to have braces in order to proceed. The surgery wait time is about six months to get it scheduled and I don't know if should wait for them to get me stared with treatment or go somewhere else at this point. I don't know if Dr. Cadenas is aware as well of how long the manager takes to get back to someone with an answer. I wish there was a way to reach Dr. Cadena directly since I live his work but this wait of almost 2 months is insane. Is not like It's free.

They gave me an hour at 5 in the afternoon saying that it was the last thing they could give me, I asked for my work permit and I lost the day and it turns out that it was closed neither for professionalism nor do I recommend it, I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else

I highly recommend Dr Cadena for braces. They are professional and nice. My braces work is done and I'm on retainer now, but I still remember the 1st day visit of the thorough evaluation and estimate. Since then, they never disappoint me. The whole process is on time and I'm very happy with my teeth now.

I started my Invisalign treatment at my general dentist's office in Palo Alto. Before I committed to getting my teeth straighten there, I was told by my dentist that my Invisalign treatment would be a total of 6 months but 1.5 years later and with an additional 19 more trays than expected, my two front teeth were still left crooked. I began feeling hopeless and in hindsight, I should've gone to an orthodontist to begin with instead of going to my general dentist. I was recommended to Dr. JC's office by a friend who got braces from him. She has a beautiful smile with perfect teeth now and couldn't speak more highly of Dr. JC and his assistants so I decided to go in for a consultation. During my initial visit, Dr. JC guided me step by step through his plan of treatment and seemed confident he could get my two front teeth straightened. I can tell he's a perfectionist and very detail oriented. He's also professional, trustworthy, very friendly and particular which I think is a good trait in an orthodontist. I could tell he knew what he was doing and I also really liked the vibe of his team so I decided to begin treatment with him. So far, I have had 8 office visits to get my braces adjusted and I can confidently say I am so glad I decided to go with Dr. JC. I appreciate so much that he's communicative and honest about the progress of my treatment each time I go in. I can see my front teeth straightening out which is making me super happy and hopeful again. I began my treatment at Dr. JC's office just before covid-19 started. When his office reopened in June, I was a bit hesitant to go back in but was also eager to continue with my treatment. He and his team have very strict measures in place and the office is impeccably clean so I always feel safe going in. They messed up with my smile now I need bond implant that will cost me a lot because of the bad procedure they did on me. I am about to lose a teeth because they damage the root. I ended up without a teeth and now I need two implants. They made me sign a paper to remove the braces before time and I went to see other dentists about my case and all of them came with the conclusion that it was due the bad orthodontist procedure they did on me. I am so fustrated with my results. Definitely I don't recommend this place

I went to Dr. Cadena as a past braces patient in my teens, needing to restraighten my bite as an adult. With the help of Dr. Cadena and his staff, I am now showing off my realigned, sparkling smile. From the 1st phone call to my final exam, I was greeted by friendly, competent staff ready to answer all my questions and handle my concerns. The office is easy to find, right off 880 in Santa Clara, with plenty of parking and public transportation close by. I highly recommend Dr. J.C. Cadena to my family and friends, and you, too!

Awesome place to come get your teeth worked on. I finished my time here and my sister just recently got her braces off. Now my boyfriend is here too! Lol they're an awesome office that works with you and provides excellent service at all times!

Dr. Cadena was the only orthodontist to say that he might be too old for headgear, but we could give it a try. The alternative is invasive elective surgery. Dr. Cadena wanted to straighten the teeth before putting on the headgear. We countered that if time may not be on our side, we'd like to start the headgear as soon as possible. He agreed. So my son had the headgear while we're stuck at home 24/7 with the covid shelter-in-place order! The headgear is working! THANK YOU SO MUCH Dr. Cadena!

Wow! This office is great. I brought in my niece for a consult and we loved it. The staff is super nice and helpful. The receptionist was so helpful on the phone and once we arrived greeted us with a huge smile. The Dr. and Rosy were great during consultation, answered all my questions. Office is very nice and modern. We are getting braces for my niece in the next week or so. They have a cool program for kids too, where they collect money and win prizes. Niece definitely liked that!!

Dr. Cadena & his staff have been nothing but great these last 4 years my daughter has had her braces. He was the only Orthodontist to tell me that my daughter would not need head gear to fix her teeth. They're appointments are accommodating and I am so ever grateful to have found them to help my daughter have the best smile she could have!
