After graduating from T.L. High School in 1976, Dr. Copeland attended Erskine College where he majored in biology and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1980. He graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine in 1984 with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Copeland has continued practicing dentistryin this same location for more than 30 years.
Dr. Copeland has earned a stellar reputation throughout his career for being a caring, compassionate dentist who genuinely cares about his patients and wants them to have the best treatment they can get. Working in the dental field gives him the ability to combine his love for being around people with his interest in technology.
In conjunction with his keen artistic eye for detail and excellent technical skills, Dr. Copelands comprehensive approach focuses on improving every aspect of your smile to provide optimal appearance, function, and comfort through general dentistry, preventive dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry procedures including restoring dental implants with crown and bridge and denture placement (fabrication). Dr. Copeland and June have a son, Brent Jr., and a daughter and son-in-law, Maisie and Andrew. They also have a grandson, Harlan and granddaughter, Lina. Dr. Copelands family attends First Presbyterian Church, where he is an Elder and Sunday school teacher. He has served as a District 5 Trustee for Anderson Schools. He enjoys sports, exercise and playing bluegrass music.
June is the daughter of Dr. Joseph Beard, who originally practiced dentistry in Anderson for more than 50 years. She is married to Dr. Brent Copeland, and has worked with him since June 1984. She attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she earned a bachelors degree in dental hygiene in 1981.
June has several roles in our practice. She is the office bookkeeper and fills in wherever she is needed. She enjoys making a difference in every patients oral and total health, as well as getting to know our many wonderful patients. In her role as a dental hygienist, she evaluates patients oral health, provides customized home care plans that will enable them to keep their teeth for a lifetime, and provides them with a knowledge of how nutrition and oral health can affect their total health.
June and Dr. Copeland married in July 1981. They have a son, Brent Jr., and a daughter and son-in-law, Maisie and Andrew. They also have a grandson, Harlan and granddaughter, Lina. Spending time with her family is the highlight of her life. June enjoys hobbies that include container gardening, travel, attending musical and social events, and outstanding food. She is an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Anderson, where she serves as a Deacon, plays in the hand bell choir, and is a member of the Chancel Guild.
Molly and her husband Kevin have a son and a daughter. When she isnt working, you can usually find her at a basketball court or the ball field watching her children play sports. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Nicole joined our team in 2016. She is a 2008 graduate of Athens Technical College, where she earned her associate degree in dental hygiene. Without a doubt, our patients are her favorite part of the job. She enjoys building rapport while helping people maintain their dental health, all while feeling comfortable and cared for. She also loves educating patients on new dental products, oral recommendations, and even discussing how dental health influences overall wellness.
In her spare time, Nicole enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking part in outdoor activities, and attending church. Her hobbies include DIY crafts, home improvement and design projects, and baking.
Maisie graduated from Tri-County Technical College in 2016 with a degree in expanded duty dental assisting. She is the daughter of Dr. Copeland and the granddaughter of Dr. Joseph Beard that practiced dentistry in Anderson for over 50 years. She has been with our team since 2018.
Jolie is a friendly and compassionate person who loves getting to know our patients and making sure they receive quality service and attention from our front office. She manages our dental hygiene department with scheduling and patient follow up.
