Growing up in the Chicago suburb of Geneva, Illinois, Dr. Tally spent his years of youth traveling with competitive hockey teams and working for his fathers lawn business. Early on he had aspirations of studying dentistry and owning his own business. After graduating from high school, he began a path of intentional study as he attended the University of Missouri Columbia where he studied chemistry and received his BS in chemistry. Fulfilling a life-long dream, he was accepted to various dental schools, but chose UMKC School of Dentistry in the heart of the Midwest. He graduated with honors and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1991.
He established his practice in Johnson County beginning in 1996, and pursued his passion of providing complete and comprehensive dental care to patients on an individual, authentic basis. Dr. Tallys treatment philosophy involves educating patients about available options and offering technology that is conservative and validated by time within the criteria of the American Dental Association. His dental practice goal is to create long-term relationships that offer optimal dental care for each patient. With a constant flow of newly released technology, a steady stream of new insurance options and large amounts of updated health standards, patients need a place to openly dialogue choices and treatment plans that have solid reasoning and experience behind them. Dr. Tally and his team strive to offer those conversations with every patient.
As a member of the American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association and the Fifth District Dental Society, Dr. Tally fulfills continuing education credits dictated by the State License Board of Kansas. Dr. Tally is also a member of the Seattle Study Club, a national group with local affiliates that promote a team approach. Area general dentists and specialists share educational information and work together to develop comprehensive treatment planning.
When he is not doing dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his wife of 31 years. He has a 19-year-old son at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. His oldest daughter made him a first time grandpa in November of 2017 and his middle daughter is a classroom teacher in the Blue Valley School district. Other activities include participating in church activities, enjoying outdoor hobbies, and displaying a small passion for classic Volvos.
Dr. Carson Jett grew up in Salina, Kansas and had a fondness for learning from a young age. She loved school and was fortunate to have grown up with a high school English teacher as a mother and a dentist as a father. Watching her parents build relationships with the local community and serve others helped shape her into who she is today. As a third-generation dentist, Dr. Jett knew from middle school that she wanted to follow in her grandfather and fathers footsteps and be a dentist.
After graduating from Salina Central High School, she attended The University of Kansas, where she majored in chemistry, with a minor in business. She then began her dental education at the UMKC School of Dentistry, where she developed an interest in porcelain veneers, and furthered her knowledge with part-time employment at Root Dental Labs. She also served a rotation at the Salina Public Health Office.
Dr. Jett is thrilled to be working with Dr. Tally and his wonderful team. While she enjoys serving the community, Dr. Jetts philosophy is to meet each patients individual needs, while focusing on their long-term dental health. Her goal is to provide comprehensive dental care to all patients with the highest level of care, and she finds it rewarding to see the positive changes patients often experience. She is committed to expanding her knowledge and researching new dental techniques and technology.
Dr. Jett is a member of the America Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, and the Fifth District Dental Society.
