Dr. Jeffrey Colin and Dr. Alexander Ferdkoff have been best friends since dental school. J&A Dental is the culmination of their dream to combine their expertise to provide the highest quality dental experience possible.
Dr. Colin and Dr. Ferdkoff have 25 years of combined experience in various areas of dentistry, including implantology, endodontics (root canals), orthodontics (invisalign) and cosmetic dentistry. They have received numerous national and local achievement awards and continue to better their clinical skills by attending continuing education symposiums.
Dr. Colin and Dr. Ferdkoff have participated in a number of different continuing education courses, includingAdvanced Endodonticswith Dr. George Bruder,Conscious IV Sedationat the University of Southern California with Dr. Stanley Malamed,Aesthetic Continuum and Advanced Invisalign courses. Dr. Colin is currently an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantology.

Dr. Alexander Ferdkoff began his dental career by attending the University of Illinois, graduating in 2010. Throughout his career he has extended his skills in order to provide premium dentistry, and refuses to settle for anything less.
Dr. Ferdkoff takes pride in offering his patients an incomparable experience by making comfort a top priority. Meeting each individual need whether it be cosmetic, surgical, or all-inclusive general dentistry, Dr. Ferdkoff wants nothing more than to help his patients achieve exemplary oral and physical health.
Dr. Ferdkoff doesnt believe that great care ends in the office; he also takes time to help within the community, assisting in charities, sponsorships and free dental events. In his spare time he strives to be an amazing father to 3 young boys, an avid chess player and a health and wellness enthusiast.

His primary goal at J&A Dental is to provide high quality, affordable dental care with an emphasis on comfort. Dr. Colin understands the importance of creating a safe and comfortable environment for his patients. This is what led him to pursue advanced education in sedation dentistry.
Dr. Colin has participated in a number of different continuing education courses, including Advanced Endodontics, Conscious IV Sedation at the University of Southern California, Aesthetic Continuum and Advanced Invisalign courses. Dr. Huq attended Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry graduating in 2002. He has two decades of dentistry experience with expertise in all areas of practice. He has a passion for creating new smiles and straightening teeth with braces or Invisalign.

Dr Huq and Dr Collin are two of the most compassionate dentists I have ever engaged with. They do exceptional work and have caring assistance. Although sometimes hard to communicate with the office staff with appointments I am extremely happy with the work I have received. I have been blessed to have found these two for my dental needs. Now my whole family uses them and couldn't be happier. Thank you Dr H and Dr C for your integrity and compassion for your patients.

First things first... nice people, efficient staff and exam... clean office maybe a little too big... that being said itnwoyld have been asked what I was trying to do that day besides going straight to thw expensive fix... yes my teeth are messed up but there was an easier fix to get me by till I can do the expensive approach... after they figured out I wasn't stupid they figured out an alternative procedure but it's been days since my appointment and still no estimate... they claimed it was my type of insurance, I claim bs

After waiting for weeks for my appointment which was July 11, when I arrived I was told I was not in the books for an appointment. The next available date was the 18th, while waiting my bottom denture broke. I went to my appointment, was given a treatment plan to replace the bottom denture. Given the 3 options, the cheapest being 4300k, the 3rd 8700k - these are replacement of bottom only 3 posts and would take up to 6 weeks. I had to say I would need to think about it as I live on SSI. I did call around to two local dentists and am thankful to say I found the perfect place, dentist, staff and affordable and done in timely manner! I'm not listing the place because that is not my goal. My goal is to take the time to look around! Both sets for under 4200

Excellent service by the entire staff at J&A! I was lucky enough to be treated by Ryan (hygienist) and Dr. Huq. They were very thorough in my cleaning and examination. I do have a couple of cavities to get filled but am feeling in very good hands with this dentistry!

What a lovely office - comfortable and relaxing! Dr. Huq, Nelissa the nurse, and office person Jennifer were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I hope to have a long relationship with them.

The entire staff was very friendly. Every procedure was explained. The dentist detailed what needed to be done and why. The financial person went over the cost. I was afraid it would be exorbitant, but it was very reasonable. In addition, the dentist said they would monitor one tooth which had a slight issue, but did not take advantage of me by including it.

So far so good. Just had my remaining teeth that I had left removed and the inserts down at the same time. Now I have a temporary to wear until my finals are ready. Actually went better than I expected. Staff has been great.

I have a complicated case, and I have seen a couple dentist without a solution. The the doctor was so understanding. They went over every option with me. For the first time I am not terrified of dentist. Thank you.

I went to get a dental clearance for the military and exam and it was the only dentist I've found in 2 months that actually had my best interest in mind and didn't just want to fleece me or my insurance. The staff and doctors are all professionals and they make it as quick and as comfortable as you could possibly hope it to be.

Bad experience with a simple filling. Numbing was not done properly and he drilled improperly. Almost jumped out of my seat of pain. Rough with his handling like he still practicing with a dummy. It was also a redo because the 1st time was not done correctly.
