I was referred to Dr. Um early summer of 2022 by Dr. Shaygan Farzad. I could not have been luckier than this! Dr. Um's office took me immediately, showed me excellent customer service at front desk, technology savvy, utmost professionalism, and extremely accommodating of my unusually tight scheduling needs. I was even given a different office address and took me 30 minutes longer to go the correct location, yet they still honored my appointment with a slight adjustment, because I had limited time in town. I am so grateful! The diagnosis process was comprehensive, and a 3-d x-ray was suggested in order to establish whether or not I really needed a root canal that was hard to see, due to the difficult position of my tooth. Thank goodness: the new x-ray showed an additional issue that we are on a long-term plan to address. We discussed all my options and possible treatments (I did need a root canal, after all) and soon I was on my way to healing. Dr. Um is a magician, the gentlest, softest touch I have ever experienced! I caught myself thinking "oh, what a pleasure," something that you never associate with a root canal job, hahaha. You will be in great hands with Dr. Um, (and yes, her asking you to call her "Mary" does make a difference in the way you relate to her; she is the sweetest, most knowledgeable endodontist who has ever treated me!!!). Together with her referring dentist, Dr. Farzad, and their other colleague who treated me to stellar reviews, Dr. Samuel Ahdout (perio and implants), they have a fantastic team! Brava and thank you!!!

The thing that struck me most was Dr. Um introducing herself as 'Mary'. I've been to more dental professionals in my life than I care to count, not a single one failed to introduce themselves as Dr. Something-or-other. Perhaps it's a small thing, but it made a world of difference in putting me at ease and making the visit start off on the right foot. Following the visit I got a call regarding additional concerns that came to light after further examination of my scans. That was another 1st for me. I'm going to let all of my teeth rot so I can spend more time at Ivy Endodontic Group, feeling like a person in need of medical attention and not just a bunch of $$$$. 30 or 40 more visits like this and who knows, maybe my faith in humanity will be restored.

Amazing Dr. & staff! Dr. UM was very professional answered all your questions very patient and thorough, office is super clean. I'm very happy with her work. I would recommend her to anyone she will take care of you.

I went for root canal, took 40 to 50 mins only. Absolutely no pain, but cautiously took pain killers just once. It was so professional right from X-ray , procedure and after care notes. I was lucky to save my tooth and had a good time everything ended good. It's my first time experience of root canal.

I had a horrible Easter weekend with the worst toothache ever!!! did no sleep at all all weekend, called my dentist on Monday and he told me that I needed to see the specialist for a root canal and send me to Ivy Endodontic Group in Irvine,and I got the BEST treatment ever. Dr Daniel Fife is AWESOME!! I did not feel a thing he was so gentle and I'm back home now with no pain or discomfort.. THANK YOU SO MUCH Dr Fife. I have no dental insurance and the prices were very reasonable and up front no surprises very friendly staff. A++ all the way.
