She attended The University of Texas at Dallas and went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Abuafeefeh is committed to her patients and enjoys helping people. She finds the dental career to be especially rewarding when she can improve a patients self-confidence through their smile.
Dr. Andrew Xu came to the US when he was sixteen years old. After college, He was accepted into the College of Dentistry, University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, He was accepted into the Advanced Education of General Dentistry program at the University of Oklahoma to further improve his knowledge and clinical skills in comprehensive dentistry. Dr. Xu practiced general dentistry for 6 years before he decided to specialize in Endodontics. He obtained his Master of Science in Endodontology and certificate of Endodontist from the School of Dentistry, West Virginia University.
Dr. Xu is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics which is the highest honor in Endodontics, awarded by the American Board of Endodontics. To achieve this honor, Endodontists must pass rigorous tests and clinical case presentations. Dr. Xu is a member of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Dental Association.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) from Hamdard University in 2005, Dr. Quamar moved to Dallas where he resided for many years before relocating to the East Coast. In 2009, he completed his advanced post-doctoral training in Periodontology at New York University, after which he moved to Philadelphia, completing his masters degree (MS) in Oral Biology, Periodontology, and Oral Implantology at Temple Universitys Kornberg School of Dentistry in 2012.
Dr. Quamar is excited to be back in the Dallas area. He has a true passion for Periodontics and believes in autographing all of his work with excellence. What he loves most about being a periodontist is the day-to-day patient interaction, allowing him to provide each patient with optimal oral care.
Dr. Anas Athar first became interested in dentistry as a child, but as he grew up, it turned into a passion the moment he realized what a big difference a dentist and specifically, an Orthodontist can make in peoples lives. Thisdrovehim to meticulously study Orthodontics, after completing my dental school, Dr. Athar did his extensive Orthodontic training at Saint Louis University. Hes the only dual-trained Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist and Orthodontist here in Texas.
Striving to consistently utilize the most leading-edge technology for his patients, Dr. Athar is the leading Clear Aligner Provider who also specializes in various advanced imaging modalities like Cone Beam CT. At the end of the day, there is nothing more important to him than providing the newest and safest treatments for his patients so they can smile proudly no matter where they go.
One of the most rewarding aspects of his profession is how genuinely happy his patients are when their treatment is completed, and their new beautiful smiles are revealed. Hes also glad to see once-fearful patients excited to sit in the chair and strike up casual conversations. Dr. Athars motto: I would do anything and adopt any technology, new or old, that will produce the best results for my patients!
During his 20+ years of being in the dentistry field, he was recognized by numerous awards. Hes also been blessed with the opportunity to visit faculty at reputable dental schools nationally and internationally and feature at numerous national and international seminars. This keeps him up to date with new developments in Orthodontics.
While hes grateful to call Dallas, Texas home, he also likes exploring new places just as much. When Dr. Athar not traveling, he loves playing cricket and learning new things. Being a family man, he enjoys spending as much quality time as possible with family and loved ones.

The dentist and his staff were very nice. Had a problem using my insurance for a filling. The insurance company said I should never be charged ove $55 for any filling. At this office I could only get this price if I had no pain prevention treatment. Who does that?

Dr. Maher Lawand was exquisite and the staff was amazing! Let's just say going to see any dentist made me so nervous and gave me anxiety but not here!!!!!! Definitely going back! To make things better my two kiddos also loved it here! Sounds like a win-win to me!!!!!

I really love this place especially the dentist assistant Miss Jackie I wish I knew the last thing might send her a gift card or something but they were real excellent they had me in and out they were within an hour and I'm very pleased

Ivy Dental has the most friendly dental staff I've ever met. The Dr. answered any all questions I had. He thoroughly explained my treatment plan with options. My first visit was amazing. Anyone afraid of dentists should visit. They are gentle and patient and very thorough. 10/10 recommendation

To Start: I've heavily neglected my dental hygiene. I needed 2 extractions and honestly, I need more than that. There is a staff at this Ivy Dental that one should thank their God themselves for such treatment and kindness. You can see it in their very eyes and the way they carry their conversations. For the first time in my life, I did not feel like I was being upsold, persuaded into something unnecessary, or being neglected during my visit. To begin, the front desk reception was unbelievably accommodating and understanding. I was in severe pain and quite grouchy (I'm sorry!) due to the pain. I was pacing, going in an out to distract myself from the pain, etc etc etc. The staff I could tell were actually going out of their way to report this behavior and as it turned out even curved the care I received upon initial examination. (Especially you, Erica! Such a sweet woman!) First contact with the staff behind the desk would be Yazmin whom took an almost unnecessary amount of care during the x-rays and even going so far as to hinder themselves by taking too few in order to accommodate the position I was in. I had exposed roots, so I am extremely thankful. The doctor himself, Dr. Lawand, I have never met such a kindhearted and caring person with a doctorate, and I am blessed to have found him. He went above and beyond his station as a dentist itself to aid me during .. an emergency that I had during the procedure that none of us could have predicted. He aided me in ways that I cannot say as I would hate for anyone to try and take advantage of these people for how hard and how heart filled their office runs. Even now, days after the procedure they have contacted me to check up and ask questions or to answer any that I have come across. A minor example being that using charcoal would be a terrible idea after a procedure. Now that I'm educated about it you would think it's common sense... However, I have come to quickly realize that my ignorance of my own oral needs and my own neglect of it are what creates majority of the issues... Obviously, right? I'm sure even the most knowledgeable would learn quite a bit from this staff as there are things I have had to actually research that they've informed me of in order to fully comprehend and understand. Not to mention just how easily and cheap most of it is to help. To summarize: This has to be the greatest experience a person who never liked the idea of dentists has EVER had. Even after going through a quite nightmarish experience caused by my own malnourishment and neglect. To which their responses were extremely professional and caring to the point we had gotten through it and there isn't a doctor in this world I would recommend higher than Dr. Lawand. Thank you to him and his staff and I look forward to all of our future encounters. TL; DR. Go here. You will not regret it. Do get your teeth cleaning... Removing that plaque so your flossing actually has an effect on so much that is being blocked by the plaque :). You'd be surprised how much there is after just a year of neglect. ;) They will help educate you in the friendliest and kindest manner !

I'm self employed and They have been very patient and flexible to work with my crazy life schedule. Their in-house dental plan(very affordable) discount almost as much as most jobs dental plans cover. (A blessing to the self employed or anyone struggling financially!)

We made appointment for regular cleaning, they made us to go through he'll of many Xray and exams. I informed them that we are here for a cleaning only but they already started their crazy job. They said that is all inclusive and you will be charged only for the price that you are informed by front desk. Than after exams,, the price of a cleaning jumped from $59 to $342... definitely not recommend this place... They do many unnecessary works to charge more

It is really nice inside, everyone has a super kind personality and it was my first time doing all of this by myself. They really helped take care of me and they're cheaper than my last dentist by 33%! So I'm just all around happy with my decision here!
