Dr. Harding moved to Charlottesville in the winter of 2011 after leaving her home state of Kentucky. Growing up in Lexington, KY, she attended Transylvania University, a local liberal arts college, acquiring a BA in Biology. Moving to Louisville, KY, for her dental education Dr. Harding graduated in 2010 with her DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine). She remained in Louisville to start her career working with one of her favorite faculty members who had a private office in the heart of downtown Louisville. Having fond memories of her internship in VA, Dr. Harding chose Charlottesville as the place to dive into her career and make a long term home.
Dr. Harding has diversified herself by working over 3 years in public health, 2 years in a pediatric dental practice, and a year in a well established private practice in Harrisonburg. Dr. Harding opened the doors to Ivy Dental in the summer of 2015 and has never looked back. She strives to focus her practice around conservative dental treatment which places priority on oral health, achieving a smile her patients can be proud to share, and providing a friendly environment free of guilt or dental anxiety. Dr. Hardings personal mission is to accomplish all of this for her patients while working to reduce the waste generated by the typical medical office through more eco-friendly practices.
Dr. Harding and her husband, Michael, have welcomed both a daughter (Addison) and a son (Adam) since she has opened the practice in 2015 and they continue to love living in Charlottesville. On weekends you can often spot them around town at many of the citys community events.
Dr. Harding is a member of the following professional associations: the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Shenandoah Dental Association, and the Charlottesville/Albemarle Dental Association.
Dr. Crowder grew up in Waynesboro VA. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 1992 with her BS in biology. After graduating from the Medical College of VA, with her dental degree she moved back home to Waynesboro and practiced dentistry for 24 years. Now, living in Crozet, with a son in high school she is ready to join Dr. Harding in practice here in Charlottesville. She is very excited to start her new adventure in practice with us here at Ivy Dental, helping to care for our new and existing patients. We are thrilled she has decided to bring her amazing skills and fun personality here with us at Ivy Dental!
When she is not practicing dentistry, she enjoys her time fishing, fossilized shark tooth hunting, and spending time with her 16 year old son, Khi and partner, Scott. Dr. Crowder, no longer weighed down by practice ownership, can often be found running off for weekend trips to the beach or river so be sure to ask about her latest adventures!
Judy has worked in the dental field since 1989 as an assistant and as a front desk support. This amazing lady has worked in every aspect of dentistry from pediatrics to oral surgery. She is a great resource for patients who might need more explanation about their planned treatment. Personally, Judy enjoys being a daughter, sister, wife, mother & Grammie. I am blessed to have a large family by heart and blood that keep me entertained and busy. Judy loves to travel and volunteer with Remote Area Medical getting dental care to those who are less fortunate and can not afford dental care in a private practice capacity.
Paula grew up in Franklin, VA and moved to Charlottesville to join the Ivy Dental team in March of 2017 after finishing her training in dental hygiene. Paula has been a wonderful addition to the office and we are so happy she decided to make the move. She truly is a Southern lady and is nothing but sweet, gentle and always adds a Maam or a Sir to the conversation Paula has one 8 year old daughter and they are excited to explore Charlottesville and its family friendly events this year.
Cari grew up right outside of Charlottesville in Scottsville, VA. Caris background has been in childcare and as a cheerleading coach. She completed her training in dental assisting at the end of 2016 and soon after joined our team. Cari brings her positive attitude and gentle ways to the office, helping our patients feel comfortable and well cared for. She has two daughters and enjoys camping, going to the beach and running to and from her girls many activities.
Sam joined our team in February of 2020 and stuck it out with us through all of the craziness of 2020 we are so lucky that she did! Not only did Sam pick up all dental terminology and procedures incredibly fast and became a key piece of our team, but her easy going attitude is a joy to work with during our busy days. Sam enjoys traveling to the beach or campsite on the weekends with her family.
Ciera is new to our office and the dental field. She is working hard to learn all of the new information we are feeding her and so far are very impressed with her fine hand skills for lab work! It is so fun to discover an individuals hidden talents when they enter a new role. Ciera splits her time between the Charlottesville area and Richmond on the weekends. She enjoying spending time with her family and learning to roller-skate.
