My practice philosophy is ''Dentistry is my profession but people are my focus''. As a child I always knew I belonged to the healthcare industry. Growing up I saw my father as my greatest inspiration. Being a physician, he would always alleviate people's problems and hence made a huge impact in their lives. I always wanted to carry his legacy. When I was sixteen, I was impressed when my orthodontist transformed my smile and changed the way the world looked at me. I felt this profession will let me take care of people in a special way and also make a big difference in their lives.
I graduated with a DDS degree from the prestigious UCSF School of Dentistry in 2005. Thereafter I have worked at multiple dental offices in the bay area for seven years. I have completed a residency program in full mouth Reconstruction and Aesthetic Dentistry from Esthetic Professionals, LA in 2012. There I received advanced training in porcelain work such as inlays, onlays, veneers and crowns. I can also recreate the bite if the teeth are worn off. I am a member of American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Contra Costa Dental Society. I am also in the process of getting my fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry.
I believe in constant improvisation and like to stay abreast with the latest techniques and technologies. We are state of the art office with complete digitalization to help patients co-diagnose what we see, so they can make informed decisions about their teeth. We use the STA system for local anesthesia, which is a computer controlled delivery system that enhances patient's comfort level.
I believe dentistry is an art which is best performed in a stress free environment. At Ivory Smiles we have created the dynamics of great service with fine dentistry. We treat each of our patients with the care they need. I welcome you to check our office where we can confidently say ''our service is our pride''.

I purchased this cleaning system, HORRIBLE. I wanted to return the product. Forget about getting a response back! I called left voicemails and nothing. In addition to writing emails. What a waste of money. This system barely vibrates and the end is too long extremely uncomfortable.I reached to the company under a week of receiving this cleaner. I"m still waiting to hear from them. Does NOT work.

Dr Malik was very kind, courteous, and caring throughout the time it took took to get 3 complicated fillings done. She was checking in frequently to make sure I was comfortable and not in pain. Her office followed up the next to check-in and see how I was doing. The front office was extremely efficient, professional and prompt in setting up a follow up appointment. I would recommend Dr Malik to everyone in a heartbeat.

Exceptional service by Chris the receptionist, and Dr. Malik. She makes the dreaded dentist visit seem enjoyable and fearless. She is a true artist in her profession. Dr. Malik is thorough and caring. She checked in many times to make sure of my comfort, gave ideas for teeth care (without judgement!)...just as you would expect at the dentist's office. This was my third visit here and hope to stay with Dr. Malik for years to come!

They advertise hassle free returns. That is not true. I expected a 100% refund and they are only offering a fraction of that amount. This is false advertising and I will pass this along to others.

I am visiting California and I had enamel fall off of my front tooth.The front desk was able to squeeze me in the same day.Everyone who works at the office was friendly and professional.The dentist Pooja was great and was able to fix the problem.I would highly recommend being a patient at this office!

My mother's experience at Ivory Smiles has been a completely positive. Dr. Pooja Malik is very gentle and highly skilled. My mother is always impressed with how quick and easy the dental care has been. The office manager, Chris, is a gem. He took time to chat with my mother while she waited for us to pick her up.
