Ivory Dental was founded by Dr. Shefali Patel as part of a joint medical/dental clinic in Plainfield, IL. She and her husband, Dr. Kalpesh Patel (Advanced Integrative Medicine), opened their clinic in August of 2005 in Plainfield, IL.
Dr. Shefali Patel received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She continued her post-graduate education at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
As a Plainfield Resident, Dr. Patel is an active member of the community. Her philosophy has always centered around the belief that every patient deserves the highest quality of care and it should be customized to focus on the priorities of each patient. Dr. Patel stays on top of the latest advances in dental technology and provides those innovations in her office. Joanna joined the team in 2006. Joanna has been working in the dental field since 2001, having worked as an assistant as well as the front desk. Before working in the dental field, Joanna graduated with a degree in advertising design.
Kim joined the team in 2008 after she relocated to Plainfield. Originally from Geneva, IL, Kim was a stay at home mom to her two children before returning to school to receive her degree in Dental Hygiene from Prairie State College. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2007. Providing a relaxing, comfortable, and personable experience for her patients is very important to Kim.
Yesenia joined the team in 2008, where she started as a Dental Assistant. In the short time of 4 years, she grew to be one of the most skilled assistants Dr. Patel has ever worked with. The kindness and compassion with which she handles any patient interaction is unparalleled.
Alejandra joined the team in 2013, she has found her passion for assisting continues to grow each day as she helps patients feel better about their smile. She is determined to provide each patient a positive dental experience by maintaining her goal in helping individuals feel confident and comfortable when visiting Ivory Dental. In Alejandras spare time she loves to visit new places, take walks, shop at the stores Chicago has to offer, and spend quality time with family and friends!
Juanita has been with Ivory dental as our office administrator since 2016. She enjoys providing exceptional service to our patients. She treats everyone with such warmth & compassion and we absolutely love having her smiling face greet all our patients!
Dawn has been working in the medical field since 2011, and joined the team in 2017. In the short time she has been in the office, she has come to truly care about the patients and looks forward to seeing them every day! Dawn has lived in the Plainfield area for 17 years with her husband and 5 children. She enjoys spending time with her family, being outside with their dog Loki and doing photography.
Family is a big part of who Jessica is and she was influenced by her family to join dentistry. On her free time, she loves spending time with her son and exploring new and fun places in the surrounding areas.

Lamp, which activates the whitening gel to break down stubborn stains on your teeth. The process takes about 45 minutes and can lighten your teeth up to eight shades lighter.
This X-ray machine scans both the upper and low jaw from ear to ear, displaying a two-dimensional view of your entire jaw. As it is digital, it emits much less radiation than traditional panoramic X-rays.
