Our staff is headed by Dr. Hendrick Tabue, DDS. Born and raised in Cameroon, Central Africa, the doctor attended his first round of dental school on Africas Ivory Coast. After graduation, he practiced in a private dental office before moving to France, where he pursued schooling in advanced orthodontic treatment.
He later became a resident of the U.S. and moved subsequently to Texas, Ohio, then Virginia. A short time later, he built Ivoir Smiles Dentistry where he has now practiced since 2014. Dr. Tabue regularly says that treating patients is something that helps him feel fulfilled with his life. When he isnt treating patients in the office, he can usually be found spending time with his wife and twin baby girls.
Kasandra has just recently relocated to Virginia from Rochester, NY, where she was a Veterinary Assistant. She has always had a passion for accounting and customer service. Outside of work, Kasandra enjoys hiking with her two dogs, Birdie and Bleu, as well as competing on her two horses, Connie and Thade.
Since a very young age, Dr. Tabue has loved the practice of dentistry. When he was younger, he suffered a horrible toothache that caused him intense pain. He was shuttled to the dentist by his parents, where he was told he had developed a root infection and abscess on a rear tooth.
Despite the horrible pain he felt from that experience, the one thing that stood out the most in his memory was how well that dentist cared for him. Since that day, he developed a fascination for the dental practice.
As he aged, he transformed his childhood appreciation for his local dental professional into a career. After attending dental school in the Ivory Coast of West Africa, Dr. Tabue started a small practice, where he worked for just under two years. Unable to shake the travel bug he decided to move to France, where he studied orthodontic treatment with high caliber trainers. After studying orthodontic treatments in France for a short period, he moved to the U.S. to start his own practice. It was only a short time after passing his U.S. dental exams that his dream of starting a dental practice in Virginia came true.

I don't know where to start. It was my first time meeting Dr.Tabue and his staff members. Before I got there, I had already had doubts and uncomfortable feelings. They all assured me things are different at their office. I was greeted with respect and human dignity. Right there in my heart, I know it was about the patient first and not money. The spirit can tell a whole lot about negative energy. In the case of my situation, I was really looking forward to such negativity. O! No! There was nothing but pure positive feeling. May God continue to bless them.

I call 3 months ago for an appointment and 4 days before my appointment they decide not to have new clients and cancelled without solution ..... really bad service

Dr. Tabue and his staff are great. Dr. Tabue always makes me feel like we have been friends forever. And he does great dentistry and orthodontics. My kids feel comfortable here as well.

Dr Tabue and his staff are awesome! They always make me feel right at home. Dr Tabue Is very patient and caring and his staff are always smiling and friendly. I would recommend his practice to everyone. He cares and takes great pride in his work and stays very aware of his patience comfort level. Love those guys! When Dr. Tafo-Tabue said he wasn't putting me to sleep for my wisdom teeth I was terrified, but he assured me that I was in good hands. All in all, he was amazing, Joselyn was a pleasure as well. This is definitely a place I will forever recommend to friends and family. The staff is incredible, facilities are clean, and although this isn't my primary dentist, I felt at home here. Excellent services!!! I had my wisdoms removed today and it was fast and painfree the dentist always take his time and talk to me about what i can and cannot do to help my teeth the staff is very well educated and patient will recommend to anyone i know .
