Dr. Shahram Nabipour grew up in San Francisco where he completed his undergraduate studies with a degree in molecular biology. Dr. Nabipour received his dental degree from the University of Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2003. He completed his residency in orthodontics at the same institution, and in 2005 received his Masters of Science in dentistry and certificate in orthodontics. Dr. Nabipour maintains an interest in teaching and in clinical research, both of which allow him to give patients the most current information and most optimum treatment modalities. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Christopher Teo was born and raised in Singapore, and completed both international and postgraduate studies in orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedic training at NYU. He is also a diplomat for the American Board of Orthodontics and is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Teos treatment philosophy starts with understanding each and every individual patients goals and needs, and works hand-in-hand with them to establish and build a balanced, beautiful smile. Having worked as a general dentist prior to his orthodontic specialization, Dr. Teo also has the benefit of a broader approach to his patients dental needs and enjoys multi-disciplinary cases which may involve working together with a primary dental care provider, as well as other specialists such as oral surgeons, prosthodontists and periodontists.
When he is not working, Dr. Teo stays physically active, from boxing and tennis to yoga and Pilates. He enjoys traveling with his wife and his beloved rescue dog, from road trips to overseas adventures. At home, he can be found working on his many plants, barbecuing and relaxing on the patio.

After being recommended by multiple people, I can truly say my experience has been great at ismile. I went in for a consultation for Invisalign and everything was done with ease. From having my scans being taken, to talking with Yuriel regarding pricing and insurance, and talking to the doctor regarding any questions, every staff member was great and happy to help. Everything went smooth sailing and I'm excited to start my Invisalign treatment. Definitely a 10/10 experience for my first visit!

As someone who has been coming here for 8 years I am more than qualified to comment on the steady decline of the staff over time to its current state. Every experienced older member of the team is now gone and what is left is a team of immature under experienced and especially unprofessional youth that either don't know what they're doing or more likely, just don't care. The front of house are sassy and rude, hygienist assistants do not clean the instruments thoroughly and all you hear is profanity and joking around while they are supposed to be assisting you. I'm no prude but I do expect my mouth to be taken seriously. My impressions were taken by a shaky handed boy who dropped the mold material all over himself and down my chin, clearly not knowing the proper amount to put on. Come to find out he had only done it one other time before. The retainer for life program has increased from 25 dollars total to 25 dollars per row, for a total of 50 dollars. But don't let the girl in front know things used to be different unless you enjoy being arrogantly condescended too. The only competent seeming member of the team is the head dentist, how he could have hired all these buffoons around him is beyond me.

I smile orthodontist is a very nice place to come for dental work. The doctors and staff are very nice and do a great job with peoples teeth and they care about patients teeth! I would recommend patients to make appointments here for dental work!!

If I could give this place no stars I would. BEWARE of this place. Patient care is the least of anyone's worries. The front desk believes that they are clinical staff members. They dictate if you are able to be seen. 1st issue: the back bracket broke and my wire was almost out of my mouth. The wire cut my cheek, lips, and gums. When I called the front and asked for an emergency appointment. They told me I had to wait a for my next appointment which was in a few weeks because it is not an emergency. At this point my left cheek was bleeding. I came in anyways and I was seen. I received a lot of apologies and was told to ask to speak with a member of the clinical staff to avoid this issue next time. Today, October 25, 2022 I called to set up an emergency appointment the left side of my mouth is swollen. I am unable to open my mouth fully and I noticed that my wisdom tooth was now visible. I spoke with 2 females. Maria and Olga. I was told someone will give me a call since I asked to speak with a member of the clinical staff. I was also told that there is no provider on-site at this time. I didn't get a call back so I called them back 5 hours later. Olga informed me that my concerns and symptoms are not urgent. I asked to speak with a clinical professional. She then told me she has enough experience to decide on what is an emergency and began to tell me I must wait until my next appointment which is in a few weeks. I still have yet to speak with a clinical staff member. There are other things I can complain about but those things are not as significant as PATIENT CARE. your health is not important to these people. Only your dollars. I will NEVER recommend this HELL hole place to anyone. After I complete treatment for my braces. I will never look at this place again and I advise people to find a place which proper ethics. Patient care should be a top priority. The NYS DOH, JCAHO, OSHA needs to take a look into this place. I AM LIVID.

Very nice place. Love how spacious and how comfortable they make you feel when you walk in. Love the amenities they have like, television and Xbox for the children while they wait but the wait is never long. Didn't even wait 5 minutes.
