Donald Goudreau completed his undergraduate and dental school education at UConn, graduating from the School of dental medicine in 2013. He received advanced training in oral surgery and dental implantology through Drexel University and Hahnemann Hospital, where he also earned his MD. He is well versed and comfortable in treating pediatrics, adult, and geriatric patient including those with complex medical histories. He performs full scope treatment including surgical tooth extraction, wisdom tooth removal, complex implant, bone, and soft tissues grafting, fillings, deep cleanings, crowns, and laser procedures. Dr. Goudreau, his wife, and 3 dogs have lived and worked in Philadelphia since 2013.
Dr. Tran is passionate about helping his patients achieve confidence in their smile and oral health. He believes everyone should have a smile they love to express themselves. Dr. Tran graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry. He then moved to the East coast and received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University. During his free time, he enjoys relaxing with friends and family, playing recreational tennis, and being adventurous with new food around the city. He strives to create a positive environment and help his patients feel comfortable with their dental treatment. Dr Tran is dedicated to creating smiles with you in mind!
Dr. John Kum is a periodontist with a truly caring heart. With his area of concentration in Periodontology and Oral Implantology, Dr. Kum is dedicated to delivering the highest quality dental care possible to our patients. Dr. Kum received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2016, where he graduated cum laude. Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Kum went onto pursue dental specialty in Periodontics and Oral Implantology at Temple University School of Dentistry managing advanced, complex cases including complete smile makeovers, sinus and bone augmentation, implant therapies, and preserving dentition affected by periodontitis. He is certified in Pinhole Surgical Technique and laser gum therapies including LANAP. Dr. Kum is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society and Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society. His passion is providing excellent dental service to underserved communities. He has bestowed his services as charity at Iowa Mission of Mercy, Pennsylvania Mission of Mercy, St. Francis Mission Native American Reservation Dental Clinic, Omaha One World Dental Clinic, and ILAC mission trips to the Dominican Republic. His other passions include food and travel.
Maria Fuentes Nunez was born in Nicaragua. She has three beautiful daughters and loves to spend time with her family, to cook delicious food, and to do crafts. She has graduated from Harcum College and is thrilled to be working as a Registered Dental Hygienist where her patients are a priority. To provide the best service, she often participates in new education courses and uses advanced dental technology for the best service. Furthermore, she feels comfortable discussing treatment with her patients in Spanish.

Julia makes sure that iSmile is running smoothly with the patients' care first in mind. We focus on keeping patients in good oral health so that they can live a full, healthy, and enjoyable life that is free from oral pain. This starts by educating our patients on what they can do to stay healthy at home. In our family dentist office we recommend that patients eat a healthy diet that consists of green leafy vegetables, lean protein, nuts, dairy products, and crunchy fruits and veggies. Eating these foods along with drinking water can help to keep teeth healthy and make them stronger. By simultaneously reducing sugar intake, patients can also reduce their risk of cavities.
It is also important to brush and floss throughout the day. Instead of waiting for bedtime to brush teeth, carry a small toothbrush and use it after meals and snacks. This makes it possible to remove sugar and bacteria from the teeth and gums before it has the opportunity to turn into acid that can attack the teeth.
