Since earning my doctorate in 1996, I have been honored to help countless people fall in love with their smiles while also enjoying excellent oral health. Donald Goudreau completed his undergraduate and dental school education at UConn, graduating from the School of dental medicine in 2013. He received advanced training in oral surgery and dental implantology through Drexel University and Hahnemann Hospital, where he also earned his MD. He is well versed and comfortable in treating pediatrics, adult, and geriatric patient including those with complex medical histories. He performs full scope treatment including surgical tooth extraction, wisdom tooth removal, complex implant, bone, and soft tissues grafting, fillings, deep cleanings, crowns, and laser procedures. Dr. Goudreau, his wife, and 3 dogs have lived and worked in Philadelphia since 2013.

Dr. Tran is passionate about helping his patients achieve confidence in their smile and oral health. He believes everyone should have a smile they love to express themselves. Dr. Tran graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry. He then moved to the East coast and received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University. During his free time, he enjoys relaxing with friends and family, playing recreational tennis, and being adventurous with new food around the city. He strives to create a positive environment and help his patients feel comfortable with their dental treatment. Dr Tran is dedicated to creating smiles with you in mind!

Dr. John Kum is a periodontist with a truly caring heart. With his area of concentration in Periodontology and Oral Implantology, Dr. Kum is dedicated to delivering the highest quality dental care possible to our patients. Dr. Kum received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2016, where he graduated cum laude. Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Kum went onto pursue dental specialty in Periodontics and Oral Implantology at Temple University School of Dentistry managing advanced, complex cases including complete smile makeovers, sinus and bone augmentation, implant therapies, and preserving dentition affected by periodontitis. He is certified in Pinhole Surgical Technique and laser gum therapies including LANAP. Dr. Kum is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society and Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society. His passion is providing excellent dental service to underserved communities. He has bestowed his services as charity at Iowa Mission of Mercy, Pennsylvania Mission of Mercy, St. Francis Mission Native American Reservation Dental Clinic, Omaha One World Dental Clinic, and ILAC mission trips to the Dominican Republic. His other passions include food and travel.

Maria Fuentes Nunez was born in Nicaragua. She has three beautiful daughters and loves to spend time with her family, to cook delicious food, and to do crafts. She has graduated from Harcum College and is thrilled to be working as a Registered Dental Hygienist where her patients are a priority. To provide the best service, she often participates in new education courses and uses advanced dental technology for the best service. Furthermore, she feels comfortable discussing treatment with her patients in Spanish.

Her mission is to provide best hygiene care in a warm, caring, professional, educational, and fun environment, making sure that all of her patients leave with a satisfied smile. She is confident that her service will surpass your expectations and make you feel right at home.

Julia is iSmile's Team Leader. She runs iSmile Dental Team's social media accounts and makes sure that iSmile provides 5-star service to each patient. Julia makes sure that iSmile is running smoothly with the patients' care first in mind. Julia believes that each patient should be treated as if he/she is a family member, which is why so many patients choose iSmile Dental Team as their dental home. In addition to providing exceptional service to each patient, Julia loves to read books, dance, and cook in her free time.

Robyn is iSmile's Team Leader. She will go above and beyond to make sure each patient has an exceptional experience. Robyn's dental experience qualifies her to thoroughly explain each patient's treatment to him/her. In her free time, Robyn loves to spend time in the gym, eat healthy, and further her education to become a future Dental Hygienist. Her passion to learn means she is always motivated to learn about the latest dental technological advancements to provide the best service.

Jylian is every patient's best friend at iSmile Dental Team. Patients love her easy-going and energetic personality that makes them feel relaxed and welcome in the office. As a dental assistant, Jylian will gently take your X-rays and make sure the room is prepared for your visit.

Nancy is the gem at iSmile Dental Team, working as the dental assistant along with Jylian. As a dental assistant, Nancy believes that each patient deserves to have 5-star treatment. She loves answering patients' questions in regards to dental treatment and help in any way possible. In her free time, Nancy loves to explore new food places--especially seafood!

The team at iSmile Dental Team PC believe in the importance of preventative care. We focus on keeping patients in good oral health so that they can live a full, healthy, and enjoyable life that is free from oral pain. This starts by educating our patients on what they can do to stay healthy at home. In our family dentist office we recommend that patients eat a healthy diet that consists of green leafy vegetables, lean protein, nuts, dairy products, and crunchy fruits and veggies. Eating these foods along with drinking water can help to keep teeth healthy and make them stronger. By simultaneously reducing sugar intake, patients can also reduce their risk of cavities.

It is also important to brush and floss throughout the day. Instead of waiting for bedtime to brush teeth, carry a small toothbrush and use it after meals and snacks. This makes it possible to remove sugar and bacteria from the teeth and gums before it has the opportunity to turn into acid that can attack the teeth. This preventative step can greatly reduce a persons' risk of getting a cavity or gum disease. We understand the importance of taking these steps at home and will spend the time necessary to educate and inform patients so that they can stay healthy overall. Education, after all, is essential for living a long and healthy life.

A. Primary, or 'baby,' teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to come in.

A. First, rinse the irritated area with warm salt water and place a cold compress on the face if it is swollen. Give the child acetaminophen for any pain, rather than placing aspirin on the teeth or gums. Finally, see a dentist as soon as possible.

A. Sealants work by filling in the crevasses on the chewing surfaces of the teeth. This shuts out food particles that could get caught in the teeth, causing cavities. The application is fast and comfortable and can effectively protect teeth for many years.
