Lisa J. RDH honors graduate from Cerritos College Dental Hygiene Program. Lisa utilizes her dental hygiene skills to work as a co-therapist along with Dr. Houske to motivate patients and to provide the highest quality of care. Lisa lives in Torrance with her husband and fourteen-year-old son. When Lisa is not working, she loves to spend time with her family. She also enjoys scrapbooking, camping and traveling.

From the friendly front desk, to the extremely talented staff, Island Dental is terrific. Nobody likes going to the dentist, but this one almost makes it a pleasure. The time and attention I have received from the staff is certainly well above standard. Thanks! Patty

My visit to Island Dental was not so great! I was a new patient and arrived 20 min prior to my appointment to complete paperwork. I was able to complete the paperwork before the appointment.how ever I did not get called in until after 45 min of additional waiting. Once in, the x rays went well ; However I they brought me back to the dental chair where again I waited 20 min to see the dentist. He examined my teeth and identified that I need fillings for 6 cavities and also sealants on all my molars ( I have never had a cavity before ). He indicated that he needed to check my insurance so he could schedule an appointment to have them filled ; however, he never returned and after another 20 min the office manager returned instead. She explained that they could not verify my insurance because it was a monday! Buy would like to set up a appointment for the fillings and sealants as I have been offered those in the past and did not believe they were necessary. She responded, I GUESS YOU ARE SMARTER THAN I THOUGHT! Today I visited anew dentist in the area. The experience went well let's say different Island dental is taking people's money and drilling people's mouths when it's not necessary !!! STAY AWAY

I have been there over 10 years and the staff is always pleasant, courteous and professional. The office looks clean and uncluttered. Equipment looks to be well maintained and a lot of care goes into making the patients comfortable. The best thing is that I feel like I am treated special from my hygienist Lisa and my Dentist, Dr. Kubo and Dr. Houske. 10 years of great experiences in the service industry is hard to find anywhere.

Everyone here is awesome. My mother went here for major dental work and she loves it, and I switched dentists thanks to her recommendation. Among fillings and cleanings, I've had two root canals done here, and each one was a breeze.

I had a root canal in the morning with Dr. Delgado and it went perfect. Then next door to Island Dental that afternoon to see Dr. Chip Houske who took care of me and my temp crown. The entire Island Dental office is so professional and made me feel so comfortable. Chip knows his stuff and I am very happy. Thank you Island Dental for taking such great care of me and by the way I love the music in the office. :-)

No one really enjoys going to dentist, as rule...However, the team of Dr. Chip Houske is over the top professional, everyone treats you like a queen or king, and it is a "pain free zone"...or experience! While you are laying wait for 'the juice' to kick in, one hears a corridor of laughter, and Dr. Chip pleasantly chatting with patients about their procedures, making it sound quite the opposite of daunting! I travel from Lake Tahoe to see our favorite family and friends' Dentist, Dr. Chip--and am happy to do so, it is the best overall dental experience I have ever had! His staff is remarkable as well!
