The son of a 50-year veteran in the field of dentistry, Eric Weinstein, D.D.S., P.C. had a passion for dentistry that began in his early childhood. He grew up in North Valley Stream and graduated from a three-year program at Adelphi University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He attended New York University College of Dentistry and graduated top of his class in 1991. He furthered his education in a post-doctorate general practice residency program at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, where he served as Chief Dental Resident until 1993.
Dr. Weinstein first entered private practice in Bayside and Valley Stream and with his father for a year. He went on to open Island Dental Associates at 600 Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead and his practice grew from two chairs to nine chairs with a full-service, in-house dental laboratory. With the expansion of his dental practice, he moved into his current state-of-the-art location across the street at 639 Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square.
Drawing on the vast knowledge he attained during numerous hours of continuing education, he established a patient-centered practice that incorporates the latest technology and most current techniques in dental care. Working together with his Board-Certified Periodontist and his Orthodontist, Dr. Weinstein is proud to offer patients complete dental care under one roof.
In 2011, after 20 years in private practice, he and his partner opened Shine Dental Associates of the North Shore, located at 400 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset. The establishment of this upscale practice fulfilled his dream to open an office in the style of a posh Manhattan hotel. His attention to detail and knowledge of interior design greatly contributed to the creation of a luxurious masterpiece in the North Shore of Long Island.
Dr. Weinsteins participation in many dental societies, his thirst for advancing his dental career, and his genuine chair-side manner make him an outstanding clinician and exceptional member of the dental community. He maintains his attending position as part of the medical staff at North Shore University Hospital at Franklin Medical Center in Franklin Square, NY.
His compassion for elderly and homebound individuals prompted Dr. Weinstein to establish the Visiting Dental Care of New York division of his practice, which provides patients with dental care in their homes. He visits hospitals, extended care facilities, residences, and nursing homes to provide all types of dental services at the convenience of his patients and their caregivers. Dr. Weinsteins dedicated staff has been with him since he first began in private practice, and they support his endeavors to create smiles that last a lifetime and to make it affordable for patients to receive the care they want and deserve.
Dr. Vikas Mittle graduated from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine and furthered his education at the University of Maryland Periodontal Specialty Program. Upon completion of his studies at the University of Maryland, he became Board-Certified in Periodontics.
Dr. Mittle recognizes that every patients case is unique and he strives to provide personalized, thorough treatment in a relaxed, patient-centric atmosphere. His gentle, confident approach makes the patient feel comfortable knowing they are receiving the best treatment in dentistry.
He strongly believes in the mouth-body relationship and treats not only oral health but overall body health. Open communication is very important to Dr. Mittle. He continually corresponds with restorative dentist to optimize each patients treatment plan and treatment. Dr. Mittle is excited to play a role in improving each patients dental health and to maintain that health so the recurrence doesnt happen again.
Dr. Mittle utilizes the latest technological advances in dentistry to treat all phases of periodontal disease and performs surgical procedures such as implants, bone grafting, crown lengthening, and extractions. He also specializes in performing efficient, non-surgical, non-invasive procedures such as root planning and scaling and antibiotic therapy. Inspired by his passion for rendering treatment with the latest surgical techniques, Dr. Mittle relentlessly pursues continuing education classes.
On a personal note, Dr. Mittle is married and lives with his wife on Long Islands North Shore. He is very active in the community. Dr. Mittle is an active sports enthusiast, playing tennis, baseball and football. You can probably find him enjoying the night watching a show in the city or exploring new restaurants. Furthermore, he loves to relax with his wife by hiking in the Adirondacks or chilling out in a sauna getting a message.

I highly recommend Dr. Daniel . His professional manner and calm nature help me throughout my treatment. I would say he has been the best and I wish I would have come sooner... Enza was also so helpful and supportive throughout the visits. She answered all questions and always made the time to explain all the fine details. Overall all of the reception staff was excellent!!

Today was my first time @ Island Dental Associates I came in with my wife for a consultation the staff at the Dentist's office was super nice and inviting the office is impressive clean and comfortable my wife was very happy with her consultation I could see by everyone who came into the office was pleasantly greated and not forced there was a familiarity that was genuine after my wife's consultation she began conversations with the office manager Enza she was super nice and informative and my wife enjoyed her experience and we now as a family will be utilizing Island Dental for our family dental needs.

Took my daughter for oral surgery. Unfortunately not covered by insurance (no fault of the practice) but their out of network prices are high. Receptionist was amazing and friendly. However surgeon was grossly lacking bedside manner and had zero compassion. Seemed annoyed all the time, forgot to set up the laughing gas and treated her like she was an inconvenience. I think they didn't even use the nitrous and charged me for it. She felt the pain. Billing dept staff woman was really rude. I'll look for a friendlier practice and will not be returning. Don't be deceived by the pretty office, it didn't reflect the poor service.

The staff at Island Dental Are always superb and tentative and caring to my needs. They always make me like family and make me feel comfortable and always get my appointments Scheduled to my needs. The best thing about Island dental Its a one stop shop You don't need to go elsewhere for different dental needs everything is done in house. The office is always at its peak for cleanliness and up to date equipment. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my teeth but Dr Weinstein and his staff I've been coming back for 25 years.

I've had several extractions and dental implants and not once did I feel any pain. I usually don't heal the best but all procedures I've gotten here have been a breeze. Love all the staff. Especially Dr. Weinstein he is amazing!!

I was greeted with a good morning and a smile by Diana. She was friendly and took care of me right away. The Hygienist Meera Dave was very professional, taking her time listening to all of my concerns. She did an amazing job cleaning all of my teeth. I have to say one of the best cleanings in my 50 years. Doctor Wong came in to see me for my check up. She was also a Great listener. After viewing my X-ray's and a visual overall review of my teeth, we came up with a plan on what needed to be done. Doctor Wong was very knowledgeable, professional and made me feel comfortable. She was available for my next visit with no waiting time. Overall I was completely satisfied with the Outstanding Service I received Today. When I came here for a consultation I knew I had a lot of problems with my teeth and knew I needed a lot of work done, I needed to find a DR that listened to my concerns and understood me that was very important to me, also to feel a connection to my dentist Was my concern not only to have someone do my teeth because of the money but because he cared and when I found DR Eric Weinstein I was very relieved. My experience with him ,Jazz the assistant and the whole staff has been nothing but AMAZING and have felt nothing but welcomed and taken care off, I was so pleased with my teeth and the way they look that I would recommend anyone to come here and have the same experience as I have, I believe so much in them that I brought my mother here to fix her smile. I could never thank DR Weinstein enough I owe him my BEAUTIFUL SMILE.. Feels so good to smile again .

I seriously love this place! R rutile I have a problem be it crowns or denture to implants I'm never worried because they handle it all. Meera and dr Weinstein are amazing...this will forever be my dentist
