Dr. Nicholas Ising is a husband and father of three beautiful children. When hes not in the office, he is probably at the playground, reading bedtime stories, or going on nature hikes. He enjoys boating and fishing at Lake Cumberland, listening to music, watching movies, and mountain biking.
Dr. Ising is committed to serving his patients with the latest techniques and technology and annually attends conferences to maintain this commitment of learning. He truly enjoys seeing the progress of each patient and their enjoyment in their new smile. I want to treat your child as if they were one of my own.
Dr. Ising went to the University of Kentucky for his undergraduate education in pre-dental studies. While there he was granted early admission to the University of Louisville Dental School where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Doctor of Dental Medicine. He then completed a 30-month orthodontic residency at St. Louis University and received his Masters of Science in Dental Research. While there, he won the Uchyiama-Truetzel Tweed Award for excellence in wire bending and had his Masters research published in the journal, Angle Orthodontist.
Dr. Ising is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and the Kentucky Dental Association. He coordinates the Smile Kentucky program for Hardin county which provides dental screenings for all third graders in the county and free dental treatment for 30-40 children in need. He is also heavily involved in the Kentucky Association of Orthodontists and will be president in 2019.

The people are wonderful!! The building is very clean and welcoming. I was greeted and treated very well. They are caring and explained everything in a way that you can understand. Best dentistry that I've been too hands down!!

The building was nice and clean and comfortable. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and very helpful. The staff were all courteous and professional. And Dr. Ising himself was amazing!!! I took my daughter here for her braces and I loved this place! At first, the insurance company denied the claim to have her braces put on, but Dr. Ising then appealed that denial and won. He convinced them that she did, in fact, need braces and the insurance company then agreed to pay for it in full. I can't say enough positive things about this place and could go on and on about them forever! I would definitely approve of them and would absolutely take my daughter there again, as she now has no overbite and a beautiful smile! I would recommend this place to my family and to any family who is in need of a very good orthodontist and a great place to take their child for braces. Furthermore, when I asked my 15 year old daughter what she thought about this place she said, "They were cool." And when I asked her what she thought about Dr. Ising she said, "I liked him." And when I asked her if she would go there again in the future or recommend them to her friends and family she said, "Yeah." Now, if you know or have a teenager, you might agree that this is a wonderful recommendation coming from her, as she doesn't say much and definitely doesn't think anyone or any place besides the mall is "cool!" LOL Thank you Dr. Ising and many thanks to his team as well!

Staff are understanding, courteous, and always willing to answer questions including Dr. Ising even if it's after hours. They are always willing to try and squeeze me in if I'm having an issue and my appointments always prompt ( no sitting around waiting until after your appointment time to be taken back). Highly recommended

Great place to take your kids. Staff is pretty friendly and Dr. Ising seems to always be fair. Definitely would recommend this place.

I knew this place was going to be the place for me after my consultation . They offer Damon braces which I really wanted & Dr. Ising gave me options & a great price , unlike the 3 other orthos I had gotten consultations from in the area . I'm almost done with my treatment & they have always been quick & friendly to my son & I . Its safe to say he will be getting treatment here as soon as he's old enough !

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Ising and his entire staff. I came to them after moving across the country. I had only had my braces on for a little over a year and I specifically came to them because they are the only office in the area that does the Damon braces, which is what I had. They continued my care and made my smile absolutely perfect, which was not the easy task because my teeth had a lot of issues. They always made me feel comfortable and the entire staff is so very friendly. Now that my braces are off, I'm actually sad I'm not going to be seeing these wonderful people anymore. I highly recommend Ising Orthodontics.

This is one of the most efficient medical offices I have ever been to. Their office staff is friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is always pleasant. If there is ever a problem they are quick to get you in. Dr Ising is knowledgeable and puts you right at ease. I could highly recommend him when my grand children needed braces and know they are in very capable hands.

I always have a great experience here. I have been afraid of having dental work since I was a child and I never feel anxious or scared about coming here. This is one of the best places around. Definitely would reccomend.

This is the best orthodontic office I've visited in my life. It is so organized, my daughter has never had to wait to be seen.. Everyone is so friendly, and you are in-and-out with no problems. Can't say enough good things about this place!
