Dr. Matthew Schofield is YOUR orthodontic expert to design and develop a healthy, confident smile. In addition to completing his American Board of Orthodontics certification, an accomplishment achieved by only a third of ortho specialists, he is the first fellowship-trained hidden braces (i.e., lingual braces) orthodontist. Before private practice, he completed his three-year residency program at Columbia University in New York City as chief resident. In residency, he earned both prestigious clinical and research excellence scholarships. Previously, as a dental student at NYU College of Dentistry, his ethical and academic performance qualified him for induction into the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU). But his greatest academic honor was to give the valedictorian speech at the famed David Geffen Hall at New Yorks Lincoln Center at graduation.
Life experiences like humanitarian service trips to Grenada and living in the Dominican Republic have provided Dr. Matthew with rich cultural perspectives that help him relate well to a wide diversity of patients. Specifically, his fluency in Spanish is invaluable for working with Hispanics in DFW.

They charged me $50 for their "free consultation," then ran my insurance and got an extra $130 from them. I went to other consultations and didn't get charged or have my insurance run. This situation just shows to me that they're money hungry and unethical.

My child had braces here. Staff is friendly but I told the Orthodontist I was not happy with my child's smile at the end. He put my child on Invisalign, if I wanted to go that route, I would have done it. I had braces as a kid (way back and didn't have to redo braces). I over heard him tell someone else about the Invisalign, common practice with this office. A waste of money go elsewhere.

I got my daughter's treatment at Irving Orthodontics and I am very satisfied with the after transformation on her smile . Dr Mathew did an awesome and amazing job in her teeth. The best Orthodontist in Irving, the entire service was incredible and my treatment was completed within the time frame I was told. Dr. Mathew takes care of all his patients and you will receive exemplary results. I am more than happy with the way my teeth came out and I most definitely recommend anyone in the DFW Area who is looking to upgrade their looks and boost their confidence. Friendly staff and doctor. Just disappointed because I was told I was getting a free consultation for Invisalign. Only to discover they ran my insurance so it was not a free service. If you are going to provide free consultation than do that only. I called and the rep advised since they did an exam they ran the insurance. I told her I was not aware and they made it as if it was a part of the consultation because you would not provide any cost until I did what was done. Very misleading and will not return

I literally cried when I saw my smile after my braces were removed! Staff is super friendly and Dr. Matthew is the greatest!! I looked forward to going to my appointments every month because they make you feel like family! For 2 years, i never had a bad experience! I enjoyed having my "adult braces" but im enjoying my new smile even more!!!

I just got done getting my braces I was pretty nervous but they helped me through it ,the service is amazing all the staff is so nice and welcoming. If you want to get your braces done I recommend you to come here . They will take care of your teeth as if it was theirs. They are all bilingual so the communication won't be a problem .

Dr. Matthew and his staff are really friendly. I got my braces removed and I was really happy with my results. Any questions I would have they would answer them. Dr. Mathew has taken good care of my son's dental braces. The staff is also very cooperative and cheerful. Dr. Mathew makes sure that his patients are comfortable and takes care personally once they come to his clinic. The charges are also very affordable.
