Dr. K.B. Parkes is a third generation dentist from Nashville. He is a graduate of Montgomery Bell Academy (2000), the University of Mississippi, and the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. K.B. discovered his passion for cosmetic dentist services in dental school and was awarded the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Award in 2009. After graduation, K.B. joined Drs. Waltemath and Keenan as a cosmetic dentist, and is honored to carry on the tradition of one of the most trusted and respected dental practices in Nashville and Belle Meade.

Dr. K.B. Parkes was born into a family of dentists. He grew up observing how his father and grandfather helped people through oral health care, and how involved they were in the community. Now, Dr. Parkes strives to do the same by making his patients as comfortable as possible and helping solve their oral health issues.

Dr. Parkes is a volunteer at the Interfaith Dental Clinic, and is a co-creator of Hapi Water, whose mission is to fight the growing epidemic of childhood obesity and cavities by providing children with healthy, sugar-free drink choices. He is a Board Member of the Nashville Dental Society, and is a Delegate of the Tennessee Dental Association. Dr. Parkes is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Millennial and Volunteer Study Clubs. At Ole Miss, K.B. was awarded the M-Club Scholarship and was inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society. He also served for two years as President of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and was a member of the Ole Miss Rugby team.

Im often asked how I chose my profession. I usually will laugh and jokingly say, when you are a giant nerd who loves science and golf, dentistry just comes naturally! But the real answer is the influence of my family. Both my father and grandfather are dentists, and both are men I admire greatly. They taught me that dentistry is one of the best professions to help others and create lasting friendships. I still meet people who tell me that my grandfather changed their life by giving them a beautiful smile. I have learned many lessons from them which helped me excel from Montgomery Bell Academy, to Ole Miss undergraduate and dental schools, and now professionally. Away from the office, my favorite times are spent with my wife, Blair, and our sons, K.B. Of course, you may find me playing golf or reading about science!

With her easy going style and friendly nature, general dentist Dr. Karen S Keenan puts her patients at ease. She is known to even sing to her patients at times! Matter of fact you'll always know when Dr Keenan is in the office - you can hear her singing on a regular basis from her operatory or the hallway.

Karen is from small-town Oklahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma State University (OSU), then received her dental degree from the University of Oklahoma (OU). Karen worked her way through school by singing in a 10 piece band along with the participation in a number of Miss America scholarship pageants. Miss OSU and Miss Oklahoma City were two of her titles.

Dr Keenan has been a general dentist in Nashville since the early 1990's. A physical fitness enthusiast, Karen is frequently see at the Green Hills YMCA and various charitable walks and runs. She has a passion for snow skiing, reading, travel, gardening, cooking and reading. She enjoys her girls night out book club every month and is active in women's dental organizations. Dr Keenan is married to Wayne Powell (Powell Creative, LLC) and they live in the Green Hills area. Oh, lets not forget the other love of her life, Tucker, her (mostly) Toy Fox Terrier rescue dog.

Dr. Tyler Smith grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and is a graduate of Franklin Road Academy. He then attended Mississippi State University on a golf scholarship where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. Tyler then attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Dentistry where he graduated in the top 5 of his class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society in 2019. Tyler was awarded the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Implant Award and the Leon H. Schneyer Award for the Highest Scholastic Achievement. During his time at UAB, Tyler was also a member of the Council of Ethics.

At Mississippi State University, Tyler graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors along with maintaining student-athlete status as a scholarship collegiate golfer. He was awarded the honor of SEC Athletic Academic All-American along with being an inductee of the M-Club for exceptional student athletes.

At UAB, Tyler was involved in many organizations including the American Dental Association and the American Student Dental Association. He also was a part of the Birmingham District Dental Society, American Dental Political Action Committee, Christian Medical Ministry Association, and the Academy for General Dentistry. During his time in dental school, Tyler was selected to participate in a Japanese exchange program where he traveled to several Japanese cities to enhance his knowledge of international dentistry. He avidly enjoys volunteering in the community and has completed numerous service projects, most notably Habitat for Humanity, TeamSmile, and dental mission trips to the Dominican Republic.

Outside of dentistry, Tyler enjoys golfing and traveling with his wife, Taylor. He also enjoys fishing, basketball, and exploring outdoors. Tyler and Taylor have two cats, Frank and Ollie, and they all enjoy spending time together with family and friends.
