We are a full-service family dental practice of dedicated, experienced hygientists and assistants who believe in working with our patients to maintain and improve their oral health. Doctor Murphy believes in providing comprehensive oral health care services to our patients in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We also believe in educating our patients as we work with them to achieve the best oral health state possible.
Each hygientist comes to our practice with years of experience. We're proud to employ only the top graduates of today's finest dental schools. Dr. Russell Murphy is a native of the Michiana Area. He graduated from Penn High School in 1991. Dr. Murphy studied his undergrad work at IU Bloomington and then hegraduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1998.
With a strong passion to learn Dr. Murphy continues his training by attending courses and seminars each year to stay abreast of dentistrys latest advances. His philosophy is simple. It is centered around the idea of treating his patients as he would like to be treated himself. Dr. Murphy is a respectful, family man well-established in the Michiana community. Communicating ALL options available to his patients is a foundation of the care and service he provides.
Outside of work, Dr. Murphy stays active by golfing, fishing, and skiing. Dr. Russell Murphy's interests include boating, traveling, and trying new restaurants. He spends most of his off hours with his wife and 3 children. He enjoys summer fun but is used to the frigid cold temperatures of Michiana and enjoys the snow too!

I love this place. Always clean and smells good. Always been treated very well on phone and in person. Dr. Murphy is also very friendly and has a way to make you feel comfortable.

Should be renamed Ironwood Dentistry. Remove the family because when you call to reschedule they charge you $50 even after explaining you are currently at the hospital caring for a family member who was rushed to the ER. I understand having a no show or last minute cancellation fee but given the circumstances you'd think it would be waived. Apparently instead of my business the past years and future years they'd rather collect their $50. No compassion at all.

Was a patient of Dr. Murphy for several years. I have even sent my family and friends to him because i always felt so confident in his work and his bedside manner. I started having problems with my teeth chipping and breaking. Decided to finally have them all pulled and get dentures. It was quite the process. The dentures never fit correctly. Had to wait a year (of having no teeth) to get the realignment done. Had that done and get the dentures back and they are so crooked that the 2 front teeth were 2 spaces to the right ... too far over. They looked absolutely ridiculous. He tells me that i need surgery and that once i had the surgery that he would be replacing the dentures at his expense. I go have this horrible surgery done (they found a "surprise" tooth that Dr. Murphy had totally missed when removing all of my teeth). I contact dr Murphy once i have healed to schedule to get the impressions done to have him tell me that he no longer makes dentures. N then refers me to a place that takes payments since my insurance only pays every 7 years for a new set. WHY should i have to pay for another set when he has already received payment for the set i cannot even wear? I filed a grievance with my insurance company and he will not return the claim so that i can get another set. I finally decided to call an attorney and i will be filing a malpractice suit against him. Shame that it has come to this. I shouldn't have to go without teeth for 7 years! How unprofessional. Imagine how crushing this is to my self esteem and to my health as i am now so limited on what I can eat. Thank you dr. Murphy. You have no idea what im going through because of this.

Dr. Murphy and his staff are amazing. They are quick and efficient, yet make time when you have questions or concerns. They're also up front about your billing and what insurance will or will not cover. I had an emergency with a painful tooth and they were able to get me in the same day. Such a relief. I highly recommend this dental office for multiple reasons. The dentist and his entire staff, including the front office staff, hygienists and other specialized dental care providers, have consistently provided me with excellent care during the years I have gone to them. Staff is not really friendly and careful when working with kids. My son was giving them a signal to let them know he was in pain and they ignored it until I got up and made them stop. My son was in tears. They apologized and I tried it again thinking it could have been a bad day but no improvement.
