Dr Shields is definitely not the most polite. After my experience with my appointment today, I will be changing my dentist.

Personally I've had great experiences here, shes such a nice upbeat dentist and front desk girl is very nice. She's sweet and has a warm demeanor. Really shocked about the bad reviews!

note not even 1 star no customer service just some fat girl at the window that knows nothing and some black old woman that also has no professionalism

My wife and I are looking for a new local dentist and our friend referred us to this practice. We schedule the first new patient appointment available a month out. The day of our appointment we show up 15 minutes early to complete the paperwork and find the office is closed for lunch until the time of our appointment. No problem we wait. While we are waiting, another customer and her mother shows up. They open the office up and we get our paperwork and they bring the other patient back while the mother thanks them for squeezing them in on short notice. We get done with our paperwork and wait. 15, 30, 45 minutes. 45 minutes after our appointment time the other patient is done then the dentist stands there talking to them about their vacation. We just left. It's great the dentist squeezed a patient in last minute but she could have done that during her lunch break. Or she could have taken care of the issue and not chatted with them about their vacation in front of us showing how little she valued our time. If we had showed up 45 minutes late to our appointment then I doubt they would have been so blase.

I had gone to see Dr. Shields when I wasn't able to get in my regular dentist's office. I found Dr. Shields to be thorough, very kind, and compassionate. Dr. Shields has a way to relax the most tense patient. Wow I was so impressed for my first time visit!

Dr. Shields and her staff are first rate - and I should know since I am a retired dentist myself. Very professional and evidenced-based - up on all the latest developments and techniques in dentistry. Also as friendly as they come - she treats my whole family likes hers and makes everyone feel so comfortable. Highly recommend!

I'm a new patient at Dr. Shields. My brother and his wife recommended her office because it's in network and we both have the same insurance provider. My initial appointment was fantastic. The intake was fast, the wait - nonexistent, and the atmosphere at the office is very home-like and welcoming. The assistants who did the x-rays and cleaning were both very polite and did thorough work. Dr. Shields herself is very warm, knowledgeable, and professional. It was a very informative and pleasant visit!

I've been seeing Dr. Shields for quiet a while now. Her and her staff are wonderful and treat you like part of the family. She is excellent with children and adults too. Her and her staff make visiting the dentist enjoyable and less scary for the timid. The facility is clean, bright and cozy. It is very easy to make an appointment. They have handled various different insurances for our family over the years. You always know up front what the charges will be if everything is not covered by your insurance.

I went to this Dentist as a emergency due to a filling that had fallen out and it was really bothering me. So I go back and the Assistant takes an x-ray and the Dentist comes in and looks in my mouth and says "Oh yeah, this looks bad". First off, what kind of Dentist says that? Then after saying that she says yeah ok well make an appointment to come back and have that filled. I said, your not going to fill it now? Not even a temporary filling? She said no, you'll have to come back. Seriously? She just dismissed me with a hole in my tooth. A week before Christmas and 2 weeks before starting a new job. This woman is a cold hearted sad excuse for a dentist. I wouldn't even recommend her to my worst enemy. The only reason I even gave 1 star was because I couldnt write my review without choosing at least one.

Had to wait to long time to get in chair. The one girl had to keep on taking an xray of my one tooth , till she got it right. The cleaning tech. girl made it feel more like torture. Dr. Sheilds needs a better chair side manner. She made me feel like I was a child. Didn'teven ask me if I wanted to schedule another cleaning. Which I wouldn't do ever again. Waste of my time. All the dentist I have seen in the last 4 or 5 years have really sucked , except for Dr. Carr , which I can't go to now because my current plan dosen't cover it. Everything sucks.
