Dr. Ruth Parkin- Edwin grew up in Jamaica. She migrated to the USA in 1991. She received her BS (Summa Cum Laude) in Biology from Upsala College, 1994. After college she immediately was accepted to Dental school in 1994. She graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey in 1998 with honors. She completed her three years specialty and received her Certificate in Periodontics. On May 13, 2016 Dr. Parkin- Edwin received Master Affiliate status as a provider of Fast Braces technology to include the new Fast Braces TURBO.
She was awarded the Martin Luther King Scholarship, OKU-National Dental Honors Society, Uriel Gunthrope Student National Dental Award and the International Congress of Oral Implantology Award. She is actively involved in research and has been published in periodontal microbiology journal.
Dr. Parkin-Edwin is an active member of the American Board of Periodontology, American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Essex County Dental Association, National Dental Association and New Jersey Dental Association.
While in pursuit of her dream to become a Dentist, she spent her summers working at the Colgate Palmolive Special Olympics, N.J Children Dental Health Day at Liberty Science Center and N.J Children Dental Health Day at Turtle Back Zoo providing free dental care for underprivileged children and giving back to the community.
Dr. Parkin-Edwins personal interests include making a difference in the life of her patients, volunteering, worshipping God and cooking. She also likes to read, and travel. Her greatest joy is spending time with her two awesome sons and loving husband, William.
Kheri-Ann Robinson is licensed to practice dentistry in the state of New Jersey. She attendedRutgers School of Dental Medicine, where her stellar academic record earned her an invitationinto the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society. After graduating on the Deans List, shepursued a dental residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in the Bronx, New York, where shegained experience in emergency care, oral surgery and operative dentistry. She has interned andworked at private dental offices throughout New Jersey and New York City and volunteered atschools and senior centers to help children and elders learn best oral hygiene practices. Prior tobecoming a dentist, Dr. Robinson attended Macalester College in Minnesota. Dr. Robinson is amember of the National Dental Association, American Dental Association. In her free time sheenjoys hiking, swimming and travelling.

I only gave 2 stars because the the African American Doctor was amazing. Other was it would be 0 stars. The receptionist on the other hand was terrible and very unprofessional. They hardly ever answer the phone or call back after you've left messages and when you finally speak to them they ALWAYS have attitudes.. makes me not even want to bring my child back here !!

This place is terrible. I waited 3 hrs and they still did not help me. They booked someone at the same time as my appointment. I was skipped many times. There is only one dentist there and like 7 people waiting to be seen. Im so glad that i did not put my ss number on file with them. I do not trust this place. Btw the front desk has no clue what they are doing. They are looking for someone to work in the morning. Lol

The dentists are very friendly and does good work!! But the staff/ receptionist are rude and unprofessional. Dr. Shannel Beckles has wonderful bedside manner (answering all questions and gentle) and makes you feel comfortable during your visit. Dr Parkin is great as well!!!

I really love this dental office.. The dentist is very professional, and she makes you feel very comfortable. The rest of the staff is also beautiful and welcoming. Office is very clean, and very relaxing. I will return to finish my work. Usually I run from a dentist. But I would tell any and everyone if you live in east orange or surrounding area, and your looking for a good dentist. This is the place to go.

Great staff and superb service! Ms.Yvette, Roshana, Brianna, Tameka and the young Jamaican man are the best! Dr.Parkin is the real OG! Love this place, love it so much I go there to say hi every now and then

The staff was so welcoming! This was my very first experience getting any dental work done in my 20 years of living, I must say Dr.Roberts and Ms.Tamika made me feel right at home. Dr.Roberts showed me the proper way to floss, and Ms.Tamika comforted me when I slightly started to panic lol. For that I am very grateful and I recommend all to choose this dental experience! :) you wont regret it.

Let me start off by saying I really like Irie Dental Spa I'm having work done and the Dr that's working on my mouth she is soooo good I really like her chair side manner and her work is phenomenal. Was going to another place but didn't like the way that dentist office handled me as a patient. So I waited for a couple of weeks did some footwork and found this office this place I really like and the staff they're also nice .
