Dr. Ruth Parkin- Edwin grew up in Jamaica. She migrated to the USA in 1991. She received her BS (Summa Cum Laude) in Biology from Upsala College, 1994. After college she immediately was accepted to Dental school in 1994. She graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey in 1998 with honors. She completed her three years specialty and received her Certificate in Periodontics. On May 13, 2016 Dr. Parkin- Edwin received Master Affiliate status as a provider of Fast Braces technology to include the new Fast Braces TURBO.
She was awarded the Martin Luther King Scholarship, OKU-National Dental Honors Society, Uriel Gunthrope Student National Dental Award and the International Congress of Oral Implantology Award. She is actively involved in research and has been published in periodontal microbiology journal.
Dr. Parkin-Edwin is an active member of the American Board of Periodontology, American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Essex County Dental Association, National Dental Association and New Jersey Dental Association.
While in pursuit of her dream to become a Dentist, she spent her summers working at the Colgate Palmolive Special Olympics, N.J Children Dental Health Day at Liberty Science Center and N.J Children Dental Health Day at Turtle Back Zoo providing free dental care for underprivileged children and giving back to the community.
Dr. Parkin-Edwins personal interests include making a difference in the life of her patients, volunteering, worshipping God and cooking. She also likes to read, and travel. Her greatest joy is spending time with her two awesome sons and loving husband, William.
Kheri-Ann Robinson is licensed to practice dentistry in the state of New Jersey. She attendedRutgers School of Dental Medicine, where her stellar academic record earned her an invitationinto the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society. After graduating on the Deans List, shepursued a dental residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in the Bronx, New York, where shegained experience in emergency care, oral surgery and operative dentistry. She has interned andworked at private dental offices throughout New Jersey and New York City and volunteered atschools and senior centers to help children and elders learn best oral hygiene practices. Prior tobecoming a dentist, Dr. Robinson attended Macalester College in Minnesota. Dr. Robinson is amember of the National Dental Association, American Dental Association. In her free time sheenjoys hiking, swimming and travelling.

My husband had an extraction and they would not prescribe anything and the dentist was nasty.. I am a woman of color so I try to stay with my own, but they are horrible and do not care about their patients...I will find another practice.. go somewhere you are respected and cared for.

Yelp is working today so allow me to that I didn't even get into my chair. Worst Customer Service from the dental tech . 1st they said I didnt have an appt until they realized I had insurance . I dont know what name she'd called but it was unrecognizable so I ask if she was referring to me . As I walked to the xray machine in her in her hostile voice u need to remove earring and lipstick so I asked if the machine clean? I saw no evidence of cleaning wipes .I simply told her what I need to do is leave . All black faces is not the same . It the principle for me

Ripped off my insurance. I called for an emergency appointment to have a crown replaced instead they took x-ray and cleaned my teeth then told me I'm done because they could replace the crown or remove the sharp broken tooth. Who cleans your teeth prior to doing work, they do because that is a guaranteed payment. Now I used up a cleaning and x-ray when I only get 2 a year. After they saw what the problem was they should've said they couldn't help me. They seem so nice and smiley but they are ripoff artist.

They have a new Dentist there, Dr. Wilson. I have sensitivity and normally the dentist is very painful. I could tell Dr. Wilson's effort he put into being gentle, and it made a night and day difference. He's the best dentist I've been to, and he deserves 5 stars.

First time there was a pleasant experience from the assistants, front desk (Erika) and Dr. I like this dentist office. I have my own insurance and I have insurance with my wife. They were able to use both and saved me a lot of money. The prior dentist l initially went to for treatment wanted to charge almost 4x the amount and wasn't going to do half the work Irie has planned for me. I'm there for life!

I have the biggest fear of dentists since I was a kid. Today I went in and had an extraction and it was painless. I was expecting a horrible experience but it wasn't. I like this dentist she explained everything and made sure I was ok.. the receptionist Erika is awesome and comforting. I will definitely make this my regular dentist.. Everything was Irie

Run don't walk! This unprofessional, rapacious, money hungry practice deserves 0 stars. Went in yesterday in severe pain and needed a procedure done asap. I have excellent insurance. A staff member named Jennifer, argued back and forth with an Aetna rep telling her what Aetna pays and what they don't pay! She refused to accept anything that was told to her and came up with this absurd amount that Irie would charge for the procedure! I was actually sitting in the dental chair and was asked to get up over a dispute about coverage. These people had zero empathy for my situation and would not do one thing to assist me in my time of need. They never offered an alternative solution and let me leave in pain just as I arrived. The ultimate worst humiliating experience for me EVER! Will NEVER return there and will take my business to someone who actually cares about humans and shows human decency!
