Although Endodontists are the ``root canal specialists`` today, don't be fooled. General dentists used to perform many procedures in the past, and root canals were one of them. Dr. Ira Biderman comes from that fading stock; and has taught his son, Jonathan, what he knows. When you need root canal work, then the Drs. Biderman are your best bet.

I have been married to the greatest guy in the world for 37 years, my husband Dr. Ira Biderman. When we were first married, I worked and put him through dental school. As soon as he graduated I became a full time mom and raised our 2 children, Rachel and Jonathan. I am so proud of both of them.
Ira and I love to go on cruises together and take long walks on the beach. I love swimming laps, line dancing and playing POGO games on the computer. I also love taking care of our 2 dogs, Lexie and Daphne.
Dr. Ira Biderman has been treating the families of Howard Beach since 1981. He obtained his dental education from New York University College of Dentistry in 1979. Since finishing dental school, Dr. Biderman has stayed abreast of new technology and methods by taking over 1500 hours of continuing education courses.
In 2001 he became accredited as a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, which has been achieved by less than 10% of dentists in the United States. This is a prestigious designation obtained by taking more than 500 hours of continuing education courses and passing a rigorous all day examination.
He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association and the Queens County Dental Society. He is also certified from the International Center for Laser Education in using a soft tissue laser.
He has been married to his beautiful wife Meryl since 1976, and have 2 children, Rachel and Jonathan. Rachel is an academic and career counselor at LIU Post and Jonathan has followed in his father's footsteps and is a dentist and joined the practice in 2008. Meryl and Ira enjoy taking cruises and taking long walks on the beach.

I highly recommend Dr. Biderman's office! The staff is very accommodating from start to finish. Dr. Biderman has gone above and beyond during the appointment. He takes his time during every appointment and will ensure that I have the very best dentist visit. Can't say enough great things about him and his staff!

Dr. Biderman and his team were professional, thorough, and kind. I was seen promptly upon my arrival, the hygienist Christina answered all my questions, and Dr. Biderman performed a thorough exam. I would happily recommend his practice to all.

I was impressed with the treatment that I received from Dr. Biderman, his staff, and particularly from Christina, the dental hygienist. She was professional, courteous, cordial, and EXTREMELY GENTLE while cleaning my gums with a pointed sharp implement. In addition, she offered valuable corrective home-care tips regarding use of floss and water pik. She should receive a raise in pay! Thank you Dr. Biderman for hiring Christina! Your office staff was and always is professional and courteous. If I have an issue they tend to do their best to get me seen as soon as is possible.

My visit to Dr. Biderman's today was nothing shy of amazing. From the moment I walked through the door i was greeted by his friendly staff. During my minor procedure, Dr. Biderman wasted no time in explaining the steps he was taking so that I understood everything. The service as well, was exceptional and I was in and out faster than I imagined. Definitely recommend this dental practice if you're in the area.

Dr. Biderman is kind and talks you through everything to put you at ease. His staff is wonderful and everyone addresses you by name. They make you feel welcome and answer all your questions. It's easy to make an appointment too. The office is spotless and the wait times are practically non existent. Highly recommend!
