Staffing consists of MD/DOs and clinical neuromonitorists who have a Bachelors, Masters, Au.D. or PhD degree in the life sciences (neuroscience, biology, bio-engineering audiology, etc.). All clinical staff undergo a rigorous training program, which includes structured didactics and extensive supervised clinical experience that lead to defined competencies.
Medsurant Health offers intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring services to protect neural structures during brain, spine, and peripheral nerve surgery. By monitoring neural functions, complications can be detected early and action may be taken to reduce or eliminate permanent neural damage.
Neurophysiological monitoring services are performed onsite by a licensed health care provider, or with remote supervision of a neuromonitorist with professional interpretation of the intraoperative test results. Onsite neurophysiological intraoperative monitoring is done on a one-to-one basis. Intraoperative service provision is accomplished with strict adherence to CMS, private carrier and facility guidelines.
