After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Melvin Benson earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Oklahoma School of Dentistry in 2006. After graduating, Dr. Benson has sought out any opportunity to pursue continuing education and refine his skills. He has authored a book titled Changing the Way You Go to the Dentist and in 2018 he was one of the 6% of general dentists to earn a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry.
In addition to his professional affiliations, Dr. Benson has dedicated a great deal of time to charitable causes, sharing his skills with those without access to professional dental care. Some of the highlights of his community service include:
Outside the office Dr. Benson enjoys spending time with his family, Jeeping, fishing, golfing, scuba diving, and traveling. He and his family are actively involved in the community, supporters of the Marine Corps JROTC program, Greeley community events such as the Festival of Trees and Movie Nights, other religious and civic organizations.
Jacob Dunham was born and raised in Wiley, Colorado. He grew up riding tractors and helping his dad on their family farm. After high school, he attended Colorado State University where he graduated with a degree in soil and crop sciences. Dr. Dunham went on to attend and graduate from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Dunham is passionate about helping his patients with their dental conditions while making their experience comfortable and enjoyable. He believes in having each patient play an active role in deciding their dental treatment and providing the best care using the highest quality materials. Dr. Dunham is a Dawson Academy Scholar where he learned advanced techniques to practice a whole mouth approach to dentistry. He incorporates that knowledge with his training in surgical implant placement as well as Invisalign treatment. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Colorado Dental Association (CDA), and Weld County Dental Society. Dr. Dunham and his wife, Katelyn, who is a veterinarian, have a son Barrett. He and his family love to explore the outdoors of Colorado with their yellow lab, Ellie. On the weekends you can find them at a CSU football game, skiing, or relaxing at a local brewery.
Dr. Kerrie Cunningham is a Colorado native and grew up in Littleton before double majoring in Biological Sciences and Art at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Knowing she wanted to pursue a career that balanced both science and artistry, she then attended the Creighton School of Dentistry and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2014.
Honest, gentle, and compassionate patient care is her number one priority! As an artist, she loves creating beautiful, natural results. She believes in helping her patients understand their dental needs and work together on their treatment options. She has received extensive post-doctoral education and has attended courses at the Rocky Mountain Dental Convention and the American Dental Association National Convention as well as beginning the Dawson Core Curriculum series.
Dr. Cunningham loves Colorado! She owns a home in Fort Collins and has a Tortoiseshell cat named Solae. She loves spending time camping, gardening, painting and playing music. She is grateful for her wonderful friends and family, and of course, her patients!
