We are the only office in San Diego, that offers immediate tooth replacement using immediate load dental Implant called Sargon, which is the only implant that has been approved for immediate load by FDA (Food and Drug Administration). We also offer Nobel Active as another immediate load dental implant. It is the newest design in dental implantology that will give you immediate stability in bone as well.

Dental implants are becoming more popular in today's dental society for a number of reasons. Implants are utilized to offer patients a foundation for new restorative teeth where natural teeth are missing or have been extracted. The implant offers the patient the opportunity to regain normal function of the tooth without being forced to resort to a bridge or a denture.

The tooth structure has two main sections, the root and the crown. The root is the section of the tooth that is below the gumline. A dental implant acts as the root of the tooth, and it acts as an anchor in the jawbone amde of titanium or titanium alloy. The first step of the procedure is surgical placement of the implant. Under regular dental anesthetic, the gum tissue is opened and the dentist places the implant into the jawbone. When this is achieved, the tissue is then sutured closed. Today specially in our office, 99% of the implants are placed without opening the gums. It is done through the gums. There is not often significant discomfort with this procedure. The pain and swelling comes from opening the gums which exposes the periostium that causes pain and discomfort. This process can take from 1-3 hours depending on the number of implants being placed. placing one implant that is immediately loaded takes about one hour. placing a delayed load, takes only 30-40 minutes.

This delayed load implant will be left untreated for a period of 3-6 months. During this time, the bone will grow around the implant in a process called osseointegration. A removable prostheses may be utilized during this time period to allow for chewing and to preserve the cosmetic appearance..

The next step in the process is to attach an abutment to the implant. This is achieved by exposing the top of the implant and placing the abutment. This is the part of the implant that will support the final crown.

Finally, an impression is taken of the abutment and a final restoration is crafted. This restoration will be comfortable and cosmetically pleasing. Your completed implant will be fully functional, allowing you to resume normal activities.

Dr. Sawa needs to be investigated. All his practice needs to be inspected, his office papers verified and his patients needs to be heard. He deserves no stars.

FAKE REVIEWS. Look at the names, see a pattern? I read the reviews before coming in so I was already skeptical. After not having seen a dentist for 5 years, I scheduled an appointment with Dr Sawa. First of all, the office has no privacy and when I came in only Dr Sawa and his receptionist were there. No other employees or patients. Upon opening my mouth right away he told me I had 8 cavities by just looking. My initial complaint was my wisdom teeth causing severe pain. He did a basic cleaning and told me to come back for four fillings on one side and we'd progress to the next four, next appointment. Even during the X Ray process I was in a large amount of pain. When my teeth were getting cleaned my eyes were watering and I was shaking my legs in discomfort. When I went in to do my fillings, it was extremely uncomfortable. I again was crying and freaking out, in a lot of pain. He told me it was normal and he'd see me in a week. By the next day, one filling had started falling out and eventually, a second fell out. I had extreme sensitivity on my teeth and felt like something wasn't right. I decided to seek a second opinion and today I saw Dr Prouse, upon inspecting my teeth he was schooled with what he saw. He saw only one cavity on the other side of my mouth Dr Sawa didn't get to know. He then commented the doctor "did something" to one of my teeth, but it wasn't a filling. He also commented my teeth look like they were never cleaned. I told him it's been a month since I've got my cleaning and he stated the dentist missed an enormous amount of buildup. Dr Prouse did my xrays and referred me to an oral surgeon, even giving my Percocet for the pain. He stated they should've been taken out a while ago and the first problem Dr Sawa should've addressed. Dr Sawa is an incompetent, greedy dentist. Save yourself the time, money, and pain and go see a respectable dentist. Shame on you Dr Sawa.

Worst experience. I went in for a regular cleaning and I know it does not cost too much. During the examination, he said that I needed multiple fillings without doing any x-rays. After the examination, I stated that I only wanted the cleaning for now and worry about the fillings later. At the end, when it was time to pay. He charged me for services that were not performed and after I confronted the dentist about it, he became angry and told me to pay whatever and not to come back again. Great customer service right? This dentist scams his patients. Explains why his waiting room is always empty. Stay away from this place. Update: Went back to my original dentist, told me I only have 2 cavities compared to Dr. Sawa stating I have 10. Biggest scam.

My dental work had to be repaired because of the poor workmanship of my Dr. Sawa. He failed to meet my standards, and he failed to use ordinary professional skills in doing my Root Canal on my tooth. I hold Dr. Sawa liable for medical negligence; errors during extractions, problems with crown, failure to diagnose disease, no specialist referral, perforation and bacterial infections after treatment. Also, he failed to take the proper care, performed poorly and inappropriately which results in avoidable harm being caused to my tooth. On top of that is the hassle and time wasted. On 4/25/2018, I saw Dr. Shlaimon T Sawa. Then he informed me that he can do my Root Canal with a crown for $1300. I agreed. Dr. Sawa started the treatment on my Root Canal. The following day, I was having so much pain in my mouth. I called his office, and he asked me to go see him. After he checked my tooth and took X-Rays, he whispered to his assistant in the back office: "Root Canal". He told me: "This is normal, you are in the healing process". I was not sure what was happening. I left home with a temporarily crown. After two days, my temporarily crown fail in my mouth. This happened four times, and every time I had to leave work and go get it redo. Then I had to go to him for the fifth time for the same reason until he finally used a proper glue that kept the crown on top of my Root Canal. When I went to put the permanent crown, it was very big in size, super tide and was not getting on top of my tooth or between my two teeth. I came back again and the crown was still tide, however Dr. Sawa squeezed it in very harshly. I was so concern and mentioned to him about this tidiness and the possibility of it effecting my front teeth by causing overlapping, as I had braces done. He then was trying to take my permanent tooth off, however he could not. Instead he braked it in a half with his tools and that was very painful to me. He again placed a temporally crown, and I rescheduled my appointment. Dr. Sawa does not put his patient communication on records, nor he take a note of it. Instead he does all his communication verbally. His office rarely answer phone calls, therefore I emailed him about my severe pain. All I was getting from him was "This is normal, you are healing", "This might be your gums", "We can do implant for this tooth in future if pain continues". When I came to put my permanent crown again, I informed Dr. Sawa about my continuing severe pain, however he ignored that and still put the permanent crown on top of my tooth. As my pain continued, I contacted Dr. Sawa to inform him. Again he asked me to go to his office. I did leave work and made an appointment with him. The day of my appointment, he took another X-Rays and then he took my permanent crown and did another Root Canal procedure for the third time. Afterward, my pain got even worse. On 7/18/18, I emailed Dr. Sawa again and requested my money back to see a new doctor as I could not trust Dr. Sawa's work anymore. On 7/18/18, I called the Emergency Room, however they referred me to 1800Dentist, who scheduled me to see a general Dentist the following day on 7/19/18. the general dentist took X-Rays and did his assessment on my tooth, he referred me to a specialist. The following day on 7/20/2018, I had an appointment with the Root Canal Endodontics who took X-Rays with 3D telescope and did his assessment on my tooth. I was informed that there is perforation on my tooth due to redoing the Root Canal up to three times. He placed me on medications to kill the bacteria and to reduce my severe pain. That re-treatment costed me $1820.60. I also scheduled an appointment with general doctor for my permanent crown on 8/27/18. This costed me another $800. I sent an email communication on 7/20/18 to Dr. Sawa to inform him about the costs and the consequence of his work.

Amazing experience, I just looked a dentist up on google, found Dr. S.T. Sawa. Funny thing have the same last name. Got great treatment on all of my teeth. His staff is really nice just like himself. Seems like they take pride in what they do. Which is really rare nowadays

S T Sawa is a master dentist with a superior product. This was a great combination for me, I learned in school that a screw has 9 times the holding power than a nail. The sargon implant is an expandable screw that with a few torqes buries itself into the bone. About 6 months ago dr. Sawa pulled 7 teeth from my upper jaw. After the healing process he quickly installed 2 sargon implants and fitted the appliance to my bite. Today the 2 implants are holding well, the new full mouth upper looks great.and the price was very reasonable compared to others who would have put 4 or 6 regular implants in my jaw. Friendly, helpful staff. Great doctor and very clean in all areas no rugs.
