Originally from the Los Angeles area of California, Dr. Aaron Larsen attended dental school in Augusta at theMedical College of Georgia. Dr. Aaron Larsen did his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University graduating with a Bachelors of Science in 1999. His college education continued in Augusta, GA where he attended The Medical College of Georgia. He completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2004. Shortly after graduation, he and his wife Jana, a native of Dunwoody, decided to make the Atlanta area their home.
Dr. Larsens first priority is the health and happiness of his patients. To achieve this, he ensures that his patients feel comfortable in the chair by making connections with them and honestly answering any questions they may have.
Dr. Larsen is strongly committed to continuing his education which shows in his passion for learning and a mindset for improving. He has spent countless hours in courses mastering rotary endodontics (root canals), dental implant placement and restoration, and full mouth restoration to be able to handle the most complex cases.
In addition to being a general practitioner, Dr. Larsen has a thorough knowledge ofTMJ dysfunctionand dental sleep medicine, both of which can be the root cause of many dental issues. Dr. Larsen has completed nearly 3 years of post-graduate training and over 2,000 hours of continuing education in Craniofacial Pain, TMD, and Dental Sleep Medicine. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Craniofacial Pain and the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine. With a comforting disposition and thorough knowledge and training, patients can be assured that Dr. Larsen will provide them with an exceptional dental care experience.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Larsen is an active member of his church where he enjoys volunteering his time and services. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and cooking. He is also fluent in both English and Russian.
As founder of Inspire Dental, Dr. Randy Muecke has been providing quality preventative, restorative and cosmetic dentistry services in the Atlanta area for many years. Specializing in a patient-centered, patient-directed model of dentistry, Dr. Muecke is known for his ability to explain to the patient the exact nature of the problem in a way that is easy to understand, outline all possible treatments, and allow the patient to make an informed decision as to treatment.
Born in Sanford, Florida, Dr. Muecke grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from Emory University School of Dentistry (having also served as Student Body President during his time there). After serving for three years overseas as a dentist in the U.S. Air Force, he returned to the Atlanta area and opened his own practice in Sandy Springs, offering comprehensive dental services to his patients.
In 1999, together with his business partner, David Leever, D.D.S., Dr. Muecke entered a partnership with Georgia Tech Research Institute involving their patent on a proprietary formula for utilizing CT data to simplify complex dental procedures. As a result of this partnership, Dr. Muecke became the first general dentistry practitioner in the U.S. to have a CT scanner in his office, giving him the ability to provide 3-D X-ray images of his patients teeth and jaws and establishing his practice on the cutting edge of comprehensive dental practices. Today, Dr. Muecke and the staff at Inspire Dental continue their commitment to using the latest technology and advances to provide quality treatment and care for all their patients.

First time with Them. Very friendly. Explained everything they were going to do. Just getting a bi annual cleaning but they gathered all my information so we have a good base . Scolded me fir not flossing everyday. Highly recommend them. Good people

I am a new patient at the Alfaretta smiles dental practice and I am very impressed with the services I received today. The receptionist was very personable and when I checked out she was very accommodating in getting my follow up appointment scheduled around my work schedule. Elaina was my dental hygienist and she was outstanding. She constantly communicated what she was about to do and repeatedly asked me if I was OK during my teeth cleaning. I have had my teeth cleaned many timesIn my life but today was the best experience going to a dentist I have ever had. Dr. Lerner was the dentist that came in and talked with me about some of follow up needs for dental procedures with me and I felt like I could ask him questions and he took time explaining everything to me. I enjoy playing golf and it turns out Dr. Lerner plays golf so I enjoyed our conversation about golf. If you are looking for a top notch Dental group then I highly recommend Alpharetta Smiles.

First visit to Alpharetta Smiles today. Elaina was my hygienist and she was amazing. Very pleasant, took her time, and offered many breaks to make sure I was doing ok. The cleaning experience was one of the best I have ever experienced . And Dr Bishop was very pleasant and explained things in detail in language I could easily understand. I highly recommend them for your dental needs!

UPDATE: After being a patient here for over a year, the receptionist informed me last week that Alpharetta Smiles is not in network with my insurance provider (Delta Dental), and that I owed them hundreds of dollars for the two previous visits. When I asked why they didn't tell me this sooner, she just shrugged her shoulders and said, "sorry, I wasn't here then." I paid the amount that I owed, canceled the appointment I was there for, and told her that they had lost a customer for life. On my way out she said that I will owe them for the day's visit. Wonderful customer service. I maintain that the dentist and assistants perform good service here, but all of that means nothing when I can't use my insurance to cover my checkups. Waiting a year before letting me know I wasn't covered is just unacceptable. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I want to reaffirm what someone else wrote in their review and really give a shout out to this very talented group of professionals. Everyone at Alpharetta Smiles seems to set very high standards for themselves, and their hygienist especially (Elena) is the best I've ever seen. She is kind, careful and sensitive to any signs of pain, and she doesn't miss *anything* when she cleans. She proves she's removing deposits by doing before and after scrapes across each area she cleans and asking you to verify. I switched to Alpharetta Smiles a year ago, when the previous dentist retired his practice. The old guard had taken care of me for nearly 20 years, and I didn't want to change, but Alpharetta Smiles has taken the bar and raised it. Very glad they're here.
