Dr. Donihue Waters began his life journey just outside Nashville, TN. He has been personally impacted by the benefits of orthodontics. His experience made such an impression that it inspired him to pursue a career in this rewarding field.
Dr. Waters' diligence and focus allowed him to graduate from the University of Memphis at the top of his class and go on to earn his Doctor of Dental Science degree & Master of Science in Orthodontics at the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry.
Dr. Donihue Waters has been creating beautifully straightened smiles since 2000. You will find that his magnetic personality will win you over at your first introduction. Dr. Waters is the sculptor of your stunning result and he views your smile as a true art form.

Dr. Waters has a passion for flying airplanes, kiteboarding, and spending time with his family. He is an amazing father to four children and has two grandchildren! When he is not in the office perfecting your smile, Dr. Waters and his wife, Angie, and their dog, Kaia, go on many adventures together.

He chose to specialize in orthodontics after he saw how confident a child or adult can become after getting the smile they deserve. His attention-to-detail mindset matches perfectly with what it takes to diagnose and treat an orthodontic case effectively.
Dr. Clayton graduated top of his class at Armstrong Atlantic State University with a B.S. in Biology. From there, he completed dental school at the Dental College of Georgia (formerly MCG), graduating number one in his class while receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
Dr. Clayton and his family enjoy spending time outside, traveling, and finding new restaurants to try. To counter being severely outnumbered by females in his house, he also enjoys fishing, hunting, running, and attempting to play golf.

We had just moved here from San Diego and we're in need of a orthodontist. Our son was on the tail end of his orthodontic journey. We were referred to Innovative Orthodontics by a family member. The entire team there is so welcoming. Everybody was so friendly and our son felt at ease. He finally has his braces off and we are so happy with the results. Now it's our youngest sons turn. I know we will be coming back. Oh yes, it always smells so good in their offices, no matter what location you are visiting.

The staff here is amazing! They treat you like family & did an amazing job on my daughter. They will help with explaining the process, getting you started, & always there for a last minute fix (like broken brackets or a wire poking)...I love the the entire team, especially Dr.Waters, Laurie, Carol, Casey, & Kate. They have all been there forever & you can count on them for anything. Great Job & keep up the great work!

The absolute best place to get your braces done at! The staff is super friendly. I went in for a consultation and they were able to lay everything out for me as far as cost and my options for going with traditional braces or Invisalign. I even had my braces put on the same day! My teeth have always been my number one insecurity but now 10 months later they are off and my smile is better than ever!! I will always recommend innovative orthodontics to anyone who ask!! Thank you to the whole staff for making this super easy and giving such great results!
