Dr. Donihue Waters began his life journey just outside Nashville, TN. He has been personally impacted by the benefits of orthodontics. His experience made such an impression that it inspired him to pursue a career in this rewarding field.
Dr. Waters' diligence and focus allowed him to graduate from the University of Memphis at the top of his class and go on to earn his Doctor of Dental Science degree & Master of Science in Orthodontics at the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry.
Dr. Donihue Waters has been creating beautifully straightened smiles since 2000. You will find that his magnetic personality will win you over at your first introduction. Dr. Waters is the sculptor of your stunning result and he views your smile as a true art form.

Dr. Waters has a passion for flying airplanes, kiteboarding, and spending time with his family. He is an amazing father to four children and has two grandchildren! When he is not in the office perfecting your smile, Dr. Waters and his wife, Angie, and their dog, Kaia, go on many adventures together.

He chose to specialize in orthodontics after he saw how confident a child or adult can become after getting the smile they deserve. His attention-to-detail mindset matches perfectly with what it takes to diagnose and treat an orthodontic case effectively.
Dr. Clayton graduated top of his class at Armstrong Atlantic State University with a B.S. in Biology. From there, he completed dental school at the Dental College of Georgia (formerly MCG), graduating number one in his class while receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
Dr. Clayton and his family enjoy spending time outside, traveling, and finding new restaurants to try. To counter being severely outnumbered by females in his house, he also enjoys fishing, hunting, running, and attempting to play golf.

These guys are hands down the best I have dealt with. The moment I called and made an appointment I knew I was in good hands. I have tried to make up my mind with what doctor to choose. I was referred to Innovative by a local friend. I am sure glad I took the time and went. The doctor even sat with me during my visit and gave me several options instead of telling me what I had to do. I feel like they really help patients achieve their goals and honestly care about their patients. I want to thank the team all the way from the receptionists to the doctors. Thank you for listening and helping me get the results I have been dreaming of for years!

The office and staff are nice but their website clearly states they close at 5:00. Yea don't take their word. I got stuck behind a RV and called then saying I would be a little late and after driving all that way pulling up at 4:38 she told me that I would have to reschedule my visit because the last patient is seen at 4:35. 3 minutes. like come on now if I am going to pay all this money for you to fix my teeth know that you can fit me in 3 minutes after.

Innovative helped my son with a Issue with his braces while we were traveling from out of state and they Took us in on short notice and were able to help. Can't recommend them enough. So friendly !

Highly disappointed! Update: My son will more than likely require braces again (elsewhere) after they were removed earlier than treatment plan given.

Dr. Waters and Dr. Clayton along with their staff are AMAZING! My daughter was ever nervous about having to go to the orthodontist at the age of 8, but they all made her feel as comfortable as they could and made sure she knew that there was nothing to be nervous about. They explained everything to her that they were going to do before they did it and stopped if they seen where she might be uncomfortable to make sure she was ok. Not one time have we been there and felt rushed or just like another patient walking through the door. They made sure to form a relationship with us from day one. They're like family now. Anytime you can walk in a busy practice of any kind and they remember who you are and things about you, it's nice. They take so much pride in what they are doing and how the patient (and mom/dad) feels. There's not to many places like that out there anymore. When we walk through the doors we've always been greeted with smiling faces and positive attitudes. I can't say enough good things about Innovative Orthodontics. They are amazing group!!!!!!!
