While surgeons dont typically have long-term relationships with their patients at least, compared to general dentists I thoroughly enjoy working with people and view my patient and I as a team. And trust is the most important aspect of great teamwork. Most people fear both dental work and surgery. When you combine the two, anxiety is extremely common. My role is to relieve your concerns, provide you with the utmost comfort, and work with you to find the best solution.

I became interested in rebuilding lost tissue and placing dental implants when I was exposed to oral and maxillofacial surgery in dental school. Through modern reconstruction techniques, Im able to rebuild the jaws, teeth and facial bones a truly inspiring idea that allows me to change the lives of patients who have suffered for years. Specifically, I enjoy working with young people and try to change their perception of dentistry. While most children hate the dentist, I love the look on their face after I complete a procedure and they ask when Im going to start.

Ever since I can remember, I have always had the desire to help people and a need to contribute to the community.I truly care about my patients and enjoy taking care of them. My patients can feel that, and it helps establish their trust. I dedicate myself to my patients well-being before, during and after their procedure. Calming and taking care of anxious patients is a crucial part of oral and maxillofacial surgery, and I always prioritize my patients comfort and outcomes at all times.

I have a strong background in oral and maxillofacial trauma. During my residency at Nassau University Medical Center, which is a Level I Trauma Center, I worked with many patients who were frightened that their facial trauma would permanently disfigure them. As an oral surgeon, my number one goal is to reconstruct the jaw and other oral structures in a way that restores proper function.

However, my other priority is to restore my patients aesthetic appearance. I believe that both goals can be compatible and that both are necessary for the long-term wellness and quality of life of my patients.

Whenever I work with a new patient, I like to ask them about their concerns so that I can be sure to address every single one of them. I believe that patient education and collaborative treatment planning is critical for the outcome of the surgery and the overall recovery process. I want my patients to know that Im always here for them and that they shouldnt hesitate to speak up when they have a question or concern.
