Dr. Summer Gutschow graduated from Creighton University in 2001 with a bachelors in science, and with her doctorate in dental science in 2007. Dr. Summer has owned her own practice and been seeing patients for over 13 years. Dr. Summer was born in Nebraska, and while she lived in St. Louis for some time, she has, and always will, consider Omaha as home. Designing and fabricating same-day CEREC crowns, and transforming her patients smiles with Invisalign are two of Dr. Summer's favorite things about being a dentist. Outside of the office, Dr. Summer enjoys spending time with her 5 children and wife, Sarah, and their 3 very large pups, most especially during baseball/softball season.
Tanya joined our team as a dental hygienist in May 2018, and has been practicing for over 13 years. Tanya, who is originally from Omaha, received her associates in applied science with an emphasis in dental hygiene from Iowa Western Community College, and completed her clinical at Creighton University. Tanya says she loves the variety of being in a family practice, and having the ability to treat the sweetest babes, and their grandparents too! She is certified in local anesthetic and CPR. Tanya has two daughters, Eva and Reagan, and has been married to her husband, Brandon, for 11 years. They also have a 10 year old Snorkie named Newman, and a Beta Fish named Raybow. For the past 15 years, Tanya has volunteered at Special Smiles for Special Olympics. She also enjoys working out on her Peloton, being outside and traveling.
Liz joined our team as a dental hygienist in April 2021 with 10 years of experience in the dental field, 6 of which she has spent practicing clinical dental hygiene. Prior to graduating with a bachelors of science in dental hygiene from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in 2015, Liz worked at the school as a sterilization technician, so following OSHA regulations and protocols on disinfection and sterilization are a foundation of her daily habits.
She enjoys taking continuing education courses and listening to dental-related podcast to keep up to date on the newest products and research available so she can provide the best care for her patients. Liz completed her favorite course to date in 2018 through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM), which focused on the study of tongue ties and how they impact facial, oral, and airway growth and development in children and adults. Liz also holds certifications in local anesthesia, diode lasers, and CPR.
Liz and her husband grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but they have lived in Nebraska for the last 10 years. Together they have a 1.5 year old son who keeps them pretty busy! Outside of work, Liz enjoys traveling, visiting family and friends, and working on art projects.
Ali joined Innovative Dental Care in December of 2016 as a dental assistant. At the office, Ali takes a particular interest in helping to fabricate implant crowns and helping patients during Glo Whitening treatments. Ali is CRP and X-Ray certified, and is a member of the American Heart Association. Before moving to Omaha in 2007, Ali lived in California, Maine and Virginia, and she has traveled to over 40 states! In her spare time, Ali loves to play with puppy, Luna, and spend time outside working on her photography.
Brie joined Innovative Dental Care in January 2015 as a licensed esthetician and dental assistant, and is now our Insurance Coordinator. Brie completed her bachelors degree at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and attended Capitol School of Hairstyling and Esthetics here in Omaha. Brie is CPR and radiograph certified, and still holds her esthetics license in the State of Nebraska. Outside of the office, Brie enjoys spending time with her husband, Cody, their son, Brooks, and dog, Ella.
Kylee joined our practice in November 2020. She brings in experience with business services such as Human Resources and Benefits/Insurance. Kylee is originally from Portland, OR, and moved to Omaha in 2001.Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, cleaning and organizing and being outdoors.
Dr. Summer Gutschow has cared for the dental needs of local families since 2007. Combining the latest dental technology with a soothing spa-like atmosphere, she makes patients of all ages feel safe and relaxed. We are on the third floor of the One California building, just behind Stokes Restaurant off Dodge Street.

Dr Gutschow is my favorite! Her and her staff are very nice and sweet. They're great with kids. They're front desk receptionists are very nice and greet you with smiles. I always hated going to the dentist, but this place makes you feel comfortable and not stressed.

I don't think it's unfair to say that a LOT of people don't like to go to the dentist; I'm one of those people, too. My trepidation isn't nearly so bad anymore because everyone at Innovative Dental Care has aways been extremely friendly and caring! I hadn't been to the dentist in quite some time and they took the time to get all of the imaging updated as well as explain my treatment plan well. There was no judgment whatsoever! They also had checked with my insurance provider to determine the cost of the extra services I need (deep cleaning, crown) prior to leaving my appointment. It was great to have an understanding of that cost beforehand. Altogether, when having to endure dental treatments, I know that they'll do a great job and be as caring and compassionate as possible. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dr Summer and her staff are wonderful. It has been several years since I went to the dentist and there was no judgment. They were very caring and understanding. I love the great care and professional service I receive at Innovative Dental Care. I love that Summer is always on the cutting edge of dental technology. I have had issues with teeth clenching, snoring, and using a mouth guard. Summer suggested a scan while in the office that same day. I'm so glad that she did because it uncovered several serious issues including a restricted airway. She helped me understand the issues and provided me with several treatment options.
