Doctor Nowakowski received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Bloomington, Indiana. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in zoology and animal biology from Indiana University.
Dr. Nowakowski is an active member of the American Dental Association, the East Central Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association and, the Commission on Dental Competency Assessments. He also is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and serves as the president of the Indiana State Board of Dentistry. He also is an examiner for the Commission on Dental Competency Assessments.
His distinguished career also includes serving as secretary of the East Central Dental Society from 1991 to 2003 and as chair of the Indiana State Board Rules Committee. He also worked on the staff of Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.
Born in Wausau, Wisconsin, Dr. Nowakowski relocated to Indiana in 1959. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with wife and two children. His sporting interests include golf and running. In his spare time, Dr. Nowakowski also enjoys and woodworking and coin collecting.

Unbelievable attention to detail. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere. Personnel are top rated. In a perfect world, Dr. Nowakowski would be teaching all incoming dentists. Patients can be confident that they are receiving the best care possible.

Richard and Ann have been trusted friends for over twenty years. We have always had the best, pain free, service and VIP treatment with every visit. Not sure if there are words to describe the greatness of the practice and the true caring from the staff. Clearly the best in Muncie. Rob & Brad Oct. 2022. Recently seen Richard's practice for a crown replacement. The level of service and the caring from the staff was second to none. Richard, his caring wife, and staff actually want to know you and your dental issues. I think my last treatment was a combination of dental repair with some solace therapy for things going on in my life. ALL was what I needed and appreciated. They are a very special group and so glad they are taking care of us.

My teeth were in bad shape on my first visit to Dr Nowakowski. I really held back on a full smile, so embarrassed. In only four visits ( worked in quadrants) he was able to restore my full smile. He and his very professional staff have always provided me with excellent dental care. Patient for life.

MY TRIP TO THE DENTIST. Let me start by saying the staff at Innovative Dental Care were amazing. Everyone, from the front desk to each team member, did an outstanding job and were very nice to work with. As for Dr. Nowakowski, I can't say enough, he was great!!! I can definitely see why so many people recommended him to me. So if your looking for a great dentist, go to Innovative Dental Care you won't be disappointed.
