Dr. Platt graduated from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT with a degree in mathematics, and continued at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, receiving his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. While attending dental school, Dr. Platt focused his training on comprehensive care, implant dentistry and digital dentistry. Dr. Platt is a member of the American Dental Association, Mass Dental Society, and Worcester District Dental Society. Originally from Cape Cod, Dr. Platt currently lives with his wife and son in Boston, MA. Dr. Plattcontinues to strive to bring our patients the best and highest quality of service as well as convenience while putting the satisfaction of our patients first.
Kathy Stake has been an employee of VDG since 2002, earning 18 years of experience within the dental field. She hold certifications in dental assisting, radiology, OSHA, and infection control. When she isn't working, Kathy enjoys spending her time at the beach with family, reading, volunteering at the Abby House and walking. When asked her favorite part of her job, Kathy answered that she loves the patients and her co-workers.
Nicole began her career with Innovate Dental in early 2020. She started her educational journey in 2015 when she was accepted to Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) to pursue a bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. Nicole also achieved a Bachelors in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Worcester State University, is a registered dental hygienist, certified in radiology, CPR, first aid, OSHA, infection control, and administering local anesthesia. When asked what she enjoys most about her role as a hygienist, she stated 'building personal relationships with patients and helping patients achieve a healthy mouth'. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys spending quality time with my family, hiking, and baking. 'There is nothing a homemade chocolate chip cookie can 't cure!'
Karolina has been a dental assistant with the VDG team since 2016. She is originally from Poland and has been living in the States since 2012. She holds certifications in CPR, Radiology, OSHA, Infection Control, and is licensed by the state of Massachusetts. When asked what she loves about her job Karolina replied helping patients achieve a sparkling smile. She enjoys weekend getaways and spends her free time with her corgi, her friends and her family.

Went to the Shrewsbury office for a cleaning today. Nicole was one of the best hygienist I've had. She was professional, concerned for my comfort and has a wonderful personality. Dr Platt was wonderful and did a great job checking for problems. I'm happy to say there were none. I'd definitely recommend this office.

Great experience! Dr.Platt and his team did a great job making me feel very comfortable. This was my first time in the office. I typically go to another location for my care. There were some unfortunate circumstance that brought me to this office and I was very pleased to say the least. :)

My kiddo has a lot of anxiety around the dentist, and our hygienist worked with him to make his visits pleasant and doable. He wasn't able to do all of his sealants in one visit and they were able to split them up so he could do a few at a time. She was extremely patient with him, and now he feels a lot better about the dentist! The staff is all really helpful, and Dr Zelkha is a great guy.

Wonderful staff without exception. If you need great dental care, look no further. UPDATE: As the years go by, I continue to appreciate all the staff. Kathy in reception is delightful, Karolina is a top-notch dental assistant, and Dr. Platte is a superb all-around dentist. Over many decades, I've had more dental procedures (and dentists) than I can recall, and I feel fortunate to have access to this kind, responsive, and professional group. As a medical professional myself, I value their combination of expertise and compassion. Update: as always, excellent care with Dr. Platte heading up a great team of professionals, including dental hygienist Nicole.

Dentist insisted that I had to follow an optional "periodontal maintenance program" not fully covered by my insurance instead of regular cleanings twice a year, which are fully covered. He also pushed more expensive treatment options for simple repairs (e.g. installing a crown instead of filling a chip) and continued to push "teeth straighteners" as the only way to remedy certain problems and keep my teeth clean. Upon informing the dentist that I would evaluate all of his recommendations by obtaining a second opinion and politely requesting that he just do a regular cleaning covered by insurance I was told that he would not perform a cleaning unless I agreed to the special maintenance program. I since called my insurance company and they confirmed that it is up to ME as the patient to decide whether the special cleaning program is what I want and that I should not have been denied a regular cleaning. This is corporate dentistry at its worst--nickel and diming to death. I do not recommend this dental practice.

Finally, a fun caring, friendly, sincere dentist that didn't just care about how much he coule possibly do in my mouth. Dr.Platt put me at ease. He intuitively knew my fears and anxieties. He didn't do a ton of extras. He just focused on my pain and made a plan. Thank goodness Dr. Platt was brought to me. Thank you Universe
