Dr. Dean N. Ahmad was born in Birmingham, England (UK) and was raised in Miami, Florida. He currently maintains a private practice specializing in the treatment of Periodontal Diseases, Periodontal Plastic Surgical Therapies, and Implant Dentistry in Northern California. Dr. Ahmad received both his graduate certificate in Periodontics and his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan. He is a Board Certified, Diplomate, in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry from the American Board of Periodontology. He has also obtained Fellowship from both the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and from the Pierre Fauchard Honorary Academy.
Throughout his training, he has completed internships in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from both Northwestern University and the University of Miami. He has also lectured both domestically (CDA Scientific Sessions/SDDS) and internationally. Dr. Ahmad has participated in multiple research projects and published numerous scientific articles. Dr. Ahmad has also attained Clinical Assistant Professorship in Periodontology and Orofacial Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Ahmad is Past-President of the Western Society of Periodontology and Dental APPNA. Dr. Ahmad is also considered an Expert in the Field in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry for the Dental Board of California, as well as an Examiner in Intravenous Conscious Sedation. Dr. Ahmad is also a Board of Director for the Sacramento District Dental Society and is also on the Executive Advisory Board for Carrington College, School of Dental Hygiene.

I can't say I'm looking forward to a tooth extraction and eventual implant but after my visit I feel very confident that the procedures I need will be done with care and expertise. Friendly, professional, and personable staff.

The Innova office is always a pleasure to visit. The atmosphere is happy, the people professional and welcoming. It is a great example of good top down management. Dr. Ahmad is exuberant and skilled about what he does and his positivity flows down through all who work with him. Andrea even makes the finances bearable and that's something when you're dealing with sizable amounts. Definitely 5 stars!

Unbelievable! Well prepared in advance for my procedure helped bolster my confidence. I have to admit I have no memory of the procedure - that is a complement! Following the post procedure instruction has been straight forward along with follow up calls home to make sure everything was going OK. What's not to like? I would recommend Innova to anyone!l needing oral surgery. Thank you for a great job Dr Ahmad and your team!

Dr. Ahmad is the most positive doctor I have ever had. He makes sure that you understand the procedure and he will make sure that your experience (if going to the dentist is fun) will be positive. The fantastic information provided prior to and after the procedure helped me in the healing process

As much as I dislike going to the dentist, I could not have asked for a better experience with Innova and Doctor Ahmad. They are very caring, personable, professional and very good at what they do. I had major work done and just finished up. They are the best and I highly recommend them.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Innova office today. I was having a difficult day with business-related issues and was in a down mood this morning. That all changed during my appointment. Their team made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived, and Dr. Ahmad's positive and energetic personality completely changed my mood and immediately turned my day around. I've been going to Dr Imad since 2010, I live in Redding now and it's a 6 hour round trip drive on top of any dental surgery. And still I will go no where else. Dental surgery is scary enough, Dr Imad makes any procedure simple, painless and positive. His office staff are helpful, pleasant and everyone seems to enjoy their job. These docs are hard to find, I keep them until they retire.

I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Dr. Ahmad, Andrea, Ella, Elma, Tannya, Tariq and Cinthia. I was in so much pain that had been going on for a few days. Was suppose to see a oral surgeon but they cancelled my appointment so i called Dr. Ahmad office and they got me into his office that day they took an xray and found 2 vertical fractures with a abcess at the gumline. He was able to remove both teeth and the next day i felt so much better. This office is such a blessing to me. Im so grateful and blessed to write down a comment for this office. Thank you everyone. I will be recommending your office to everyone i know!!!

I was out of town and needed implant dental work do to my healing abutment coming out I found Innova Periodontics they were so helpful from the office staff to the dental assistances. Dr Ahmad was so kind and helpful. The staff did a great job, I had an amazing experience. I can't think this office enough for helping me out on a Friday afternoon before a three day weekend. My experience here was great. Everyone at Innova from the moment I arrived until I left were extremely polite, quick to offer any assistance and professional. I get really nervous for any appointments or procedures dental related and was made to feel very comfortable and relaxed here. Dr Dean Ahmad was great at explaining what the issues were and how to best address them. He already had a detailed list of what needed to be done and the best way to get the results I desired in a way that made the most sense. I will definitely be returning in the future.
