Dr. Walker Dr Walker grew up in Washington, where he discovered two things at a young age; he wanted to be a dentist and live as close as possible to the Pamlico River. On the way to realizing this dream, Dr. Walker graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1996 with an undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry, and in 2000 from UNC School of Dentistry. After working as an associate dentist in Rocky Mount and Greenville, Dr. Walker made his way home in 2003 to begin his solo dental career. Since that time Dr. Walker has worked hard to provide the best dental care possible to the residents of Beaufort County and surrounding areas. When not caring for patients, there is nothing more Dr. Walker enjoys than participating in activities involving his wife, three wonderful children and the Pamlico River.
Dental Assistant Brandy Brandys career in dentistry began in 1998. She started working with Dr. Walker in 2001. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, including working with great patients. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children, family and friends.
Dental Assistant Megan Megan, originally from High Point, NC, started her career in Dentistry in 2015. She moved to Washington in 2017 and soon after joined Dr. Walkers team as a Dental Assistant. She enjoys all aspects of Dentistry and meeting new patients. In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Hygienist Nikki Nikki is from Washington, NC. She graduated from Halifax Community College and began practicing Dental Hygiene in 2015. She was in grade school when she decided to become a Hygienist. Nikki joined Dr. Walker and the team in 2017. She has a knack for making her patients comfortable in the dental chair. She takes pride in making a difference in her patients lives and doing so in a manner that makes the experience enjoyable. In her leisure time Nikki enjoys spending time with her family and crafting.
Hygienist Lynn Lynn began her dental career in 1987. She was a senior at Washington High School when she was offered a job as a dental assistant. She received dental x-ray certification through EAHEC in 1988. Lynn quickly realized she wanted to continue her education and went on to graduate from Wayne Community College in 1994 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. With over thirty years experience, she prides herself at being both gentle and thorough. Lynne joined Dr. Walkers team in 2016. In her spare time, she enjoys relaxing on the Pamlico River with her husband, her two children and the family dog.
Front Desk/Insurance & Billing Administrator Wendy Wendy began working as a Dental Receptionist in 2000. In 2003 she joined Dr. Walkers team. Wendy enjoys meeting people and educating them on dental needs. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, gardening and shopping, but most of all, she loves spending time with her family and friends.
Front Desk/Receptionist Kim Kim has worked with Dr. Walker since November 2005. She has lived in Washington all her life. Kim and her husband have two children and three grandchildren. She loves meeting new people and interacting with patients. In her spare time, Kim enjoys watching college basketball (Go Heels!), spending time with her grandchildren and listening to the waves crash on any beach!

After reading many reviews, I decided to give Inner Banks a try. I was pleasantly pleased to have Dr. Walker give affordable options for my dental needs. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Hope I have found my forever dentistry.

First visit went for consultation.Dr walker was veryeasytotalktoo.he was very honest about the procedures he would be doing.staff makes you feel welcome. 5 stars .l think they should be 6 stars.highly recommend them.

I love this dentist office and there staff. Everyone goes the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of. They work with you to give you the appointment and time you need to get there excellent service. I recommend this dentist office to everyone.

Everybody on staff was very pleasant, helpful, professional and accommodating. I was a new patient with a semi emergency and things couldn't have gone any better. They got me in same day. Great results.

As usual, they did an awesome job! Kelly did my cleaning and she was very thorough. Dr. Walker did my exam and gave me a clean bill of health. The staff at Inner Banks Dental is always top notch and helpful. You should definitely let them take care of you if your needing help with your teeth and gums.

Everything in one package....nice people and professional services. Dr Walker is a very good dentist. Only negative is not having nitrous but definitely not going to let that keep me from returning for all my dental needs.

Had a teeth cleaning/oral diagnosis today and once again i felt at home with Dr. J. Walker and staff. They're caring and honest and they explain in detail, any and all procedures that you are dealing with, listening to your feedback and opinions is front and center.. I AM DEFINITELY STICKING WITH I.D.B. and would recommend any and all....My teeth and I are looking forward to going back...Thanks yall Garrett B.

Going to a dentist is stressful for a lot of people. But when the staff working a few inches away from your face is not vaccinated against COVID, it makes for an anxious experience. I am a senior citizen who has had several friends die of COVID. While I am fully vaccinated, the last funeral I attended a few days ago was of a fully vaccinated woman who was needlessly exposed. I expect medical professionals to take precautions to protect their patients! I do have another appointment but I would hope the staff would do the right and medically ethical thing to protect their patients.
